Life has been busy yet there has been a lot of free time but I've been too tired to do anything with it. The last nine week with the Pulmonary Rehabilitation therapy has been wonderful yet it's worn me out in many ways. (especially the hour drive each way)
I am however happy to know that I can actually exercise which really surprised me. When you have COPD you get easily winded doing simple tasks like laundry and vacuuming. Didn't know I could actually ride a treadmill for 15 minutes besides doing two other pieces of equipment for an additional 35 minutes along with stretching exercises.
Obviously none of this does me any good unless I continue to exercise. Now during this time I also had to exercise on the days I didn't have the class. There is a big difference between doing things in a controlled environment compared to walking outside for my lungs. I do of course have my recumbent bike so I did that and short walks outside.
The bottom line is that I am joining a gym with the benefits from our United Health Care Insurance and look forward to continuing my activities. I've already gone once and did the treadmill and I also joined in with an exercise class for seniors which was great.
We saw JP last Saturday. Mark and Adam finished up on some work in their backyard, Gabby ran to get her nails done and I watched the baby. Of course he was having a bad day. This is sick and crabby James. Nothing was making him happy. He just wanted to be held which was fine with me.
This of course is a photo Gabby sent on Sunday of a happy little boy who was all smiles! We are seeing them this Saturday. They are taking us out to dinner along with Gabby's mother for an early Mother's Day celebration.
Amber and Dylan have been at Yellowstone Park all week with Dylan's mom Tina. They have had an enjoyable week.

My great niece Amanda graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Mechanical Engineering along with a minor in French and Cum Laude. We are very proud of her. Also my great-great Nephew in Florida turned one. (His mother doesn't allow any photos on social media) He's adorable!!!
My orchid, which I have had for at least 4 years has finally bloomed again. I don't believe I have had a blossom in at least two years!
Our potted cactus outside is blooming right now. It blooms every year and has been doing this for 30 years now. It was one single little cactus when we bought back in 1989 when we lived in an apt in La Jolla, CA.
If you remember this Bougainvillea which fell off the house close to 2 years ago and was cut back at the ground, here it is thriving again on the house.
I see all of your posts waiting to be read and I promise I will get to them as soon as possible.

Girl you have been busy! First of all I love those flowers on the vine growing on you house - gorgeous. Your daughter looked like she had a great time out west - I would like to go there. James is so cute - and I am so glad he is feeling better. Congrats on your achievement - keep on exercising. Sandie
Hooray for joining a gym!! I need to do the same.
Your flowers are so pretty and love the cactus blooms.
Congratulations on the great (exercise) strides, Debby. (No pun intended!) I'm loving all these photos, especially James. Amber looks so happy. Y'all thinks theirs was a good decision, then?
Those Bougainvillea never die I think! They are so hearty and they grow so fast! It seems like the one we have has to be trimmed back every 2-3 months.
Congrats to your grand niece on her accomplishment with graduating! Wishing her much success in the years to come!
Congrats that you graduated from pulmonary rehab and that you joined a gym! Be consistent and go and you will see great strides in your health!
Poor JP! Nothing worse than a sick baby. It was good that you were able to hold him and comfort him the best you could.
I bet it was cold when Amber and Dylan were visiting Yellowstone! We keep Billings on our weather app and they have had some cold temps this past week! Its so gorgeous there though!
Hope you guys have a great Mother's Day celebration. Where are you going?

Hi,
Good news in so many ways. Very happy to hear about your health Debby! I know it is not easy, you keep on. I am so proud of you.
Your cactus is beautiful. I love the story behind it as well. How sweet to have saved it so long.
Happy Mother's Day,

Good for you for following up the pulmonary rehab with continuing exercises at the gym.
