We saw James on Friday night. Adam had asked if I was feeling better and if we wanted to babysit. We already had plans to see them on Sunday.
My response was yes I was feeling better and if we come over on Friday will we still be coming over on Sunday. The answer was yes so I got to see him twice.
Tomorrow I am flying to see my dad and will be gone for 17 days. We will of course Skype so my dad can see him live and not just in a photo. So this means that it could be well over three weeks before I see him again.
Oh wait, something funny to share here about Friday night. When we got there he was in the kitchen in his walker. He's loving it. So we walk in and he got this extremely serious face. He looked at Mark, he looked at me, looked at Mark, looked at me....over and over again for literally 10 minutes.
We were all laughing about this. Then finally the smiles started coming as he realized it was Grandma and Grandpa. It was so precious.
So Friday night we feed him his dinner, gave him his bath and got him ready for bed. He was practically asleep when his head hit the mattress around 8 pm.
These photos are from Sunday. We headed over to Adam and Gabby's around 12:30 in the afternoon. We brought dinner to cook. We had done a Costco run and picked up some filet mignon along with some other items. It was a delicious dinner and a fun day .
Baby James was so much fun. Adam and Gabby are pouring out nothing but pure love and joy around him all the time and he's giving it right back.
JP's day care lady started making fresh veggies for Adam and Gabby to give to him when he started on whole foods. Now Gabby is making all of his fruits and veggies. You put the puree into ice cube trays and then it is already to go. He loves eating. Reminds me of a little bird opening his mouth for food!
So yesterday she tried avocado. They recommended mixing it with a little bit of formula for a nice smooth consistency.
So there he is eating spoonful after spoonful and it appeared that he was loving it. Then all of a sudden he turned his face away a few times.
Gabby was able to get him to take one more bite and he suddenly had the most disgusting look on his face, almost ready to cry and it was obvious that there was no way he wanted anymore avocado!
We burst out laughing. It was hysterical. (No it is not the face in that last photo, he was just being silly in that one)
After dinner Gabby was holding him at the table and I was across from him. I banged my hand on the table, he banged his hand on the table. We did this for like twenty minutes and he was smiling, having a ball. Monkey see monkey do!!

Oh it is so hard to leave those little ones and not see them for days let along for weeks. He is just so adorble.
Can that child grow any more adorable? Loving your 'play-by-play', Debby … almost like being there with y'all. Safe travels!!!
be still my heart - HE IS GORGEOUS - ADORABLE AND SMART!
I think he just gets cuter with each picture you post of him. I don't blame him on the avocado. I do't like it either...lol
He is soooo cute!! So sweet looking too! Gabby and Adam are doing a great job raising him and will continue to do a great job raising him! I wonder if the avocado warmed up some and lost its consistently or something and that made him not like it after eating a few bites of it before. That is a sweet day care lady if she makes fruits and veggies for him! Good for Gabby doing the same; so much healthier! I hope your trip goes well to see your dad and you have an enjoyable time with him! Safe travels!
betty

Safe travels Debby!
Love, Carla
Now that is all simply an overload of cuteness! What a blessing.
