I find it hard to believe that we will be visiting Amber and Dylan in the near future and I never posted pictures from last October. I'm just going to share some photos here for you to see.
This is Gates of the Mountains Recreation Area. We took a boat tour through here. Very lovely rock formations. The second and third photo is what they call the gate. As you go through and turn it looks like the gate is closing.
This here was Montana State Park First Peoples Buffalo Jump. You look at this photo and it looks like the ground just keeps going....right? Huge cliff where they ran the buffalo to and they fell down the cliff and died.
That's the cliff behind Mark, Amber and Dylan.
Prairie Dog
I love seeing hay bundles out in the fields.
I also enjoy taking photos from the side view mirror.
Montana is filled with beauty.....

It's beautiful there. My aunt who just passed away used to visit Montana every year or so. I think she had a sister who lived there. Now I see why she loved it so much.
Montana is spectacular! love the bison and its baby and the ground hog, but you knew i would focus first on critters. amazing mountains and so sad about the cliff and the buffalo. i would love to visit Montana
It is beautiful up there! Your pictures are great too of the area. We did that Gates of the Mountains when we lived up there. It was stunning with the scenery. I really enjoyed Montana; not the cold, but it truly is a very unique place to live.
I bet you are looking forward to your visit with Amber and Dylan soon!
betty
I have never ever been in that area of the country but it looks beautiful!
Gorgeous! That's absolutely heartbreaking about the buffalo falling to their deaths. I just can't wrap my mind around the 'why's' and 'how's.'
Beautiful Country Side.
These pictures are amazing. What beauty! We have never been to Montana but I'm thinking we need to add it to our bucket list. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh pretty....I have a friend that lives in Montana and loves it, even the long winter. Yesterday she was posting pics on FB wearing a thick jacket where we were kicking it in the heat and humidity (she is from here)....I have an open invite to visit anytime, might have to take her up on that. So pretty in the pics.
We've driven through Montana many times, it has such a beautiful scenery!
Montana is an amazing state. I truly love the wide open spaces and the grand mountains. Thanks for the trip..
Did you know prairie dogs are technically ground squirrels? They're so cute.
Also cute, the baby and dog both in the bath in the previous post.
