1. Coming home from a night out you notice your garage door opened. What Would You Do?
Of course that would scare me but I have to admit something that has happened more than once. We were at my son's house, gone for at least 8 hours that day. We got home and the garage door was open.
It was our fault. Every once in awhile my husband backs in to load up his trunk or unload the trunk from a Costco run. Pulling away from the house that way we didn't realize that we never closed it!
2. Getting ready to shop at the supermarket you realize you left your keys in the car. What Would You Do?

I would definitely go out to the car and hope that it hadn't locked by itself yet. If they were locked in the car I would have to call my husband to come with the other set of keys.
Obviously if my husband wasn't available I would have to call a locksmith.
3. Coming home from work tired you forgot you have guests coming for dinner and nothing to serve them. What Would You Do?
Oh my. I would throw together a salad because we always have that on hand and also throw a pizza in the oven because our freezer is full of Chicago frozen pizza.
If I honestly didn't have anything to serve them we would order something for delivery or take them out to dinner.
4. Your daughter calls you at work and says she missed the school bus and you have no car. What Would You Do?

Oh my, I'm not sure what I would do. We never really had family or friends that I could have called. I guess it might depend on the age of my daughter.
Since I am way past those years I'm thinking, depending on her age, I would have to tell her to just go back home and call her in sick.

Ok so for the first one I would jump for joy that I finally had a garage even if the door was open :)
The keys, not a problem because I have the number combination to unlock the doors.
The guests are highly unlikely since that just doesn't happen but I think a quick call to the pizza shop
If my daughter called me at work and said she missed the bus I would tell her to start walking. We lived close enough to the school that my kids didn't get a bus.
i would think the same as you did, that we left the door up.. if i lef the keys in the car i would hope someone would steal it.. but if it were a good car i would go out right away and get them or call for help. my answer is like Anns, we never have guest, i do not like making dinner, but if for some reason we did, i would not forget but if for some reason i did i would call for pizza. i have no daughter and no one in school or riding buses... 50 years ago i would call my mother.
We did that once with the garage door here where we got into the cars differently and we had son and grandson with us and no one was paying attention to the garage door closing. We got back from dinner a few hours later, thankfully it was still light. Hubby went inside and made sure everything was okay and then we all followed after him. We have a neighbor across the street that leaves their garage door open when they are home and sometimes they forget to close it at night. I hope they lock the door from the garage into the house.
Yum with your freezer full of Chicago pizzas! But I know you all enjoy them. I'd be on the phone seeing what I could order at the last minute.
Some parents would have their kids be picked up by Uber for things, but Uber is finally (gladly) reinforcing policies that kids under 18 can't be in Uber without an adult they know over 18 years old. Honestly, I'd never send my kids in a Uber like that nor would I want as a driver to pick up kids under 18. Too risky.
Enjoyed reading your answers :)

I'm such a 'what-iffer' … laughing at myself over here for being unwilling to enter the house. So many things we do by rote. Yes, I've turned around and gone back to make sure the garage door was down. Another time, I called the manager of my apartment complex from my office 25 miles away, asking her to go inside and see if I'd unplugged my curling iron.
My answers were similar to your's! Loved your answers! Have a great Tuesday!

Chicago Pizza.. yum!! I think that is a great plan B!
