I've been missing in action and haven't been around to read many posts. I'm better now. I took a "ME" day yesterday and went to see two movies.
Since I've been back from Florida I just haven't been myself. I've been extremely tired. I have to say that the trip really took all of my energy from me.
We were out of the house almost everyday and as a rule my adrenaline kicks in but at some point it catches up with me. That's why I usually get sick after a trip but thankfully my lungs are doing good.
Here at home I normally plan things in a way where I get a day off in between my days out of the house. Not to mention that I had to help my dad too. Truthfully there are days here where I'm lucky to get showered and dressed let alone run errands.
I'm feeling better now, that's why I went to the show. I was having panic attacks for a few days this week that were not necessarily related to my trip. Thankfully I have some anxiety pills that helped me through that. I just laid low and got caught up on my shows that taped while I was gone.
We did have a nice time at Adam and Gabby's on the 4th of July. Their party became just the 5 of us since Jason, Adams best friend and brother in law, ended up in the emergency room during the night and had his gallbladder taken out that day.
We also babysat on Friday night the 5th which was fun. Today Adam and Gabby are flying to Puerto Vallarta for 5 nights. Denise, Gabby's sister (Jason's wife) are watching James.
We are picking James up at their house on Sunday afternoon and taking him home. We will be watching him at their place since all the needed equipment is there and I think James will be more comfortable in familiar surroundings. Also Roxy is at a friends nearby so she can come home to be with us too.
So it should be interesting seeing how we do with him for a few days. He will be going to day care for a little while each day because they don't want to break up his normal routine and I'm sure Mark and I will appreciate a little break too!

He is really close to crawling. Get's upon his knees rocking and doing an Army crawl right now.
Loving the little star puff cereal snacks from Gerber.
Not to mention that he is all over the place in his walker!

Also, if you look close at each photo you will notice his hair got a little trim.

So glad to see you back, Debby. I know what you mean about being so tired when our routine is disrupted and we have to "go" more than we're used to. There are weeks at a time that I don't leave the house. I prefer to simply hang close to home and tend to my household. I wish you luck watching the little one. He is a darling!! :) Sometimes I think watching the wee ones is the easiest task of all.... just sit and read to them or play with them. Lovingly, Andrea xoxo
I'm glad too to see you back. Sounds like you had a rough time with your health. Too bad because I know what a good time and how much that meant to your dad. Well you are home now. With family. With all your meds. And you get to take care of and hold James - who is a doll. Prayers! sandie
Sorry you had a rough time when you got back home. Glad you were able to relax and regroup.
James is so adorable. I bet you are going to have a great time watching him.
He is really growing! I know you will enjoy the time.
Glad you had some time for yourself. That’s so important. I have dealt with anxiety off and on over the past couple of years.
I can imagine you would be worn out, Debby, after your trip! I know it had to be a combination of everything, the humidity, being on the go, etc., and traveling in itself is taxing. Glad you took a me day and got some down time for yourself! That is the good idea to watch James at his own place. So much better as you can keep him on the schedule they have him on. I know he will have a great time with you and Mark! It will be interesting if you pick up anything that he might be missing his mom and dad. I hope Gabby and Adam have a great trip!!!
betty
Adam and Gabby are SO blessed to have you and Mark nearby! I'll always miss not seeing my grands more than once or twice a year when they were small.
I'm encouraged to hear you're taking good care of yourself. Travel sure isn't the leisurely adventure we once imagined!
It's so great that you get that kind of time with your grandson. And also - very glad you took at least a little time to do something you enjoy!
Slow and steady wins the race... take your time.
Hello Debby,
Sending hugs and hope you are feeling better. What movies did you see?
Thank you for sharing your grandson with us, I just love his smile.
Carla
Taking time to sit back and just get your breath back is so important. I am finding that out more and more with every passing day.
Good luck with the baby sitting!
