Have you ever known anyone that’s been on TV, including you?
We sold a puppy to a newscaster when we lived in Chicago. Tim Weigel on ABC. He came to our house to buy one but we never really new him. But here is something that is kind of interesting. Did you ever know Gene Siskel the film critic? They roomed together at college and both died of brain tumors.
Okay I have one more story. There is a man called Anthony Rapp who has been in movies. One of my favorites is "Rent." I met Anthony Rapp as a child, he was actually in my home in Western Springs, IL.
He was in a play my brother was directing. Now if you don't recall his name you might have heard it back in 2017 when he claimed that Kevin Spacey made sexual attempts to him when he was 14 years old.
What do you find yourself buying all the time?
Salad and other fruits and vegetable's!
When was the last time you got a real letter in the mail?
When was the last time you got a real letter in the mail?
You are not going to believe this. I got one last week from a man we went to High School with. Now there is a lot more to this story. We didn't go to our recent 50th class reunion the weekend of Sept. 20th back in Illinois.
This classmate, who was only in our school for a year, was in a terrible car accident. He could never return to school. He had severe brain injuries. Well this letter was hand written by him and I can't tell you how touched I am by receiving it. I will write a post and share it with all of you.
Have you ever lived in a house/apartment that has been broken into?
No I haven't and I thank God for his blessings over us.

When I was really young, maybe 6 or so, my brother and I were on a tv show for kids. I can't even remember what it was called.
I can't remember the last time I got a letter in the mail that wasn't from a company.
nope, never met anyone from tv or movies, i did stand 5 feet from Merle Haggard at an open air concert in Savannah in 1970. no letters since my mother died in 90. a few cards but no letters. i am with you being thankful for no homes broken into. the only thing i buy all the time is weekly food and supplies.. well now that i typed that, i do have 11 pairs of leggins from WM, and 10 and 11 were bought last week. i guess that counts
Love that autumnal picture, Debby!
Hmmmm … one of Phoenix's best-loved traffic announcers also died from a brain tumor. Do you suppose headphones and all that high-tech electronics might be a contributing factor?
I've not had a hand-written letter in years and years.
I saw that handwritten letter on your Facebook page; so poignant and sweet! That is interesting about the encounter with actors and the stuff with brain tumors. Wonder what the commonality was other than rooming together in college. Makes you also want to check if others in that class/dorm were affected. I too am so thankful I've never been in a house that has been broken into. One of my vans many years ago was broken into. That was hard to deal with. I'm thankful we live in a safe neighborhood! Hubby and his brother were both talented guitarists in their "youth" so they were on a lot of local TV Shows like morning shows, that type of thing. They got to meet a few local celebrities.
betty
Enjoyed your answers, Debby, and love the WELCOME OCTOBER photo at the top of your post! Absolutely lovely! October blessings, Sweet Lady! :)
No....have never been broken into...hoping I never do but as crazy as the world is getting it might just be a matter of time. I hope not though. I have been on TV. Years, and I do mean YEARS ago there was a show that came out called Hee Haw Honey's...take off from Hee Haw. I sat at a table acting like I was drinking a beer, it was weak tea with soap suds on top. My nephew was on a lot, he was a race car driver and also my brother and nephew raising money for Ronald McDonald house. We get around...haha
Hi Debby, enjoyed all your answers and so far all the T4M bloggers have received letters in the mail. I haven't received one in years. LOL! Have a blessed day ahead.
No, I don't know anyone famous. I do remember Siskel and Ebert - both gone now. I think that young man who wrote the letter was amazing! Nice story. Sandie
Interesting stories.
I've never had a house broken into (my car is a different matter), but my husband has had three different homes of his broken into! The last one was where he was living when we were dating and I got there before him one day and found stuff overturned and thrown everywhere.
That is so neat you got a letter from a former classmate. That would mean a lot to me too. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

WOW, I enjoyed reading all the answers. Very interesting. I am excited to have you share the story about the classmate.
I've received a lot of cards and notes since my dad passed away. I try to send out a few hand written letters each month.
I kind-of sort-of know Natalie Grant. I used to work with her sister Jennifer at our church. I know most of Natalie's family very well.
That is really awesome about the letter. Have a great week!
That letter you received sounds meaningful. I became penpals with 3 bloggers so get and send plenty of notes in the mail.
