1. Last time you moved house? Something you've learned in moving house?
In October it will be 14 years since we moved. We got rid of a lot of things yet we moved into a bigger house. Don't fill up the new house. Now I have so much to great rid of that I can't even bear to do it because it is such a huge project.
2. Move mountains, move along, make a wrong move, moved to tears, get a move on, move up, move over, move out of the way, move the deck chairs on the Titanic, move it!...pick one and tell us how it fits your recent circumstances.
I'm going with "moved to tears" because I find myself crying often. I've been sick with lung issues for a week now but am feeling great today (Tuesday) as I type this. So what I've been doing is taping maybe six Hallmark movies each day and the endings seem to bring me to tears.
Right now I'm addicted to the Christmas movies. Been buying some of my favorites on VUDU because it's the happiest time of year and that's what I need right now in my life. Maybe I should put my tree up!
3. What have you been doing to make yourself move (aka stay fit-active) during these strange times?
This is a hard one for me. With my COPD I never thought I could do much until I went to Pulmonary Therapy a year and a half ago. I had no clue I could do a treadmill. When that ended I joined 24 hours fitness and I did the treadmill for 45 minutes.
In all honesty I can't really walk outside, I get winded quickly and we live at the top of a hill. So I haven't been able to do much but I am now looking at buying a treadmill because I can't take this anymore. I need to exercise and I believe that is why my lungs are acting up.
4. This week's calendar includes celebrations for the following foods-
National Coffee Milkshake Day (Sunday), National Creme Brûlée Day (Monday), National Milk Chocolate Day (Tuesday), National Chicken Wing Day (Wednesday), National Lasagne Day (Wednesday), National Cheesecake Day (Thursday), and National Avocado Day (Friday)

Which one on the list would you be most inclined to celebrate? Which would you be most inclined to skip?
I would definitely be into the National Cheesecake Day! I probably would not do Chicken Wing Day unless they were boneless. Otherwise I think they are a waste of my time.

I miss going to the gym. I was doing 45 minutes on the treadmill and at least 10 minutes on the stair stepper. I started doing let exercises and I think I over did it because my hip hurts. Our old house was on a hill and walking around the blocks made me breath hard. I don't like to go out now because of the mosquitoes!
I moved into my house 32 years ago. It was pretty empty when we moved in, now I wonder where all this junk came from.
I'm not big on celebrating all the "national" days.
We moved in our house 31 years ago. It still has about the same amount of stuff because I don't keep anything when we move from the house in St Pete I got rid of everything and I still have about the same amount. I'm like and I don't celebrate any of the national days for anything I don't even celebrate holidays. I do put out a Charlie Brown tree but then you know that. As for exercise I exercise an hour a day and more but I always exercise an hour but not all at one time. Some days I walk twice some days I do the pool and a walk but I always exercise for an hour
I like your random thought, Debby. I hope August is a better month but I know you're missing so much still with your dad's passing and not being able to physically hug James, etc. Good idea with the treadmill. I do 35-40 minutes 5 times a week on mine. I think it helps so much for keeping healthy and the muscles moving (and in your case your lungs). Hope the lung issues clear up fast! I'm with you with the cheesecake!
betty
I'm glad you are feeling better today. Hopefully you can get a treadmill soon. your July acrostic was so good.

Glad you could use the treadmill for 45 minutes.
Now, get rid of those tears and try to be happy!
I enjoyed your answers.
Have a great day.
Hi Debby,
I hope you are feeling better.
45 minuets is a good goal and I hope you can find a treadmill.
I like your July acrostic. xx oo
Oh my gosh I am sorry to hear your lungs are acting up. Don't go to the gym right now. I would buy something at home. I can't walk to good with my legs and hips, but I have a Schwinn Anodyne (?) and love it. Get well!
It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate! I think it would be fun to put up your tree now, why not, anything goes in 2020, I hope you continue to feel well. Have a great day :)
1. Last time you moved house? Something you've learned in moving house?
March 2020!!! What did I learn, that I am just to freak"n old and to out of shape to be moving....and I mam not doing it again!!!
Get rid of stuff before moving. Less to move that way.

Get a move on....I need to be doing more moving.
Not a thing...not a thing

For this to have been the craziest years so far it has been moving by fast

Not so much a random thought....I am still on the cheesecake
45 minutes on the treadmill? Wow! Were you always able to do that, or have to work up to that? Glad to know I'm not the only one who considers chicken wings a waste of time. LOL!
Love your poem
I'm sorry your lungs are giving you problems right now. Enjoy your Christmas movies and find joy where you can. These are some strange hard times we're living in currently. My father-in-law had COPD and the treadmill was so good for him.
Great acrostic. I do hope you can get that treadmill especially if it helps with your COPD. I've been lax in doing anything daily for exercise. Hope your lungs do better soon and that you have relief. We've been recording a lot of Hallmark channel these days! Need some uplifting entertainment...
Sorry to hear your health is not great at the moment. Sounds like getting a treadmill and trying to gradually up your exercise would help so I hope you can do that soon. It would probably help lift your mood too. Good acrostic. Yes clearing out all the stuff from a house is daunting. We're doing it a bit at a time.
I would go with the Lasagne Day followed by Crème Brûlée Day and for a treat Milk Chocolate Day. They can keep the Avocado and the Coffee Milkshake Days...
I'm with you on choosing Cheesecake Day. I never get tired of cheesecake.
I don't think Ive ever heard of moving described as "moving house."
