THANK YOU JOYCE
1. What's one thing you learned at the ripe old age of whatever age you are now?
Pardon the language but I thought this was funny since I didn't have an answer anyway!
2. I read here a list of foods that can help you look younger.........extra virgin olive oil, green tea, fatty fish, dark chocolate, vegetables, flaxseeds, pomegranates, avocados, tomatoes, spices, bone broth
a) How many of the foods listed have you tried?
I've tried all of them but can't say I care for flaxseeds.
b) How many do you eat regularly?
It's more random now with Covid-19 and not always being able to get what I want from a delivery or pick-up.
I've been trying to get bone broth from Costco since this started. I refuse to pay for the individual ones from the store.
Actually I haven't been able to get my dark chocolate from See's either but I believe I can do a pick up now outside the store.
c) Your favorite from the list?
I like them all for different reasons. Okay I do love dark chocolate but I'm going to go with fatty fish that has smashed avocado, w/salsa mixed in, spread on top of our salmon. It's so delicious.
3. Something you miss from the 'good old days'? When were the good old days anyway?
That's an interesting question. Obviously I miss the days of my childhood for so many reasons but I also miss the days of my children's childhood which was similar in many ways.
One difference was that I would ask them to call when they got to their friends house. We were more protective then but still didn't have cell phones compared to my mom who never knew where I was.
4. What are two or three of the most rewarding things to be found in growing older?
4. What are two or three of the most rewarding things to be found in growing older?
For me right now I am going to say the blessing of a grandchild. Not really caring as much about what people think of me. I know who I am and I'm proud of myself!
5. What's your favorite part of your life right now?

That too would be my grandson James.

LOL on what you learned.
I do like some of the things on that list of foods but not all. I found out I really dislike avocados
Couldn't help but laugh at answer #1.
I loved all of your answers today.
Have a great Wednesday my friend.
your first answer is my favorite. that happenes to me to many times a day to count them... i knew what your answer would be on the 4 and 5. he is so precious. i don't miss anything at all from my past years. well i do miss one thing, we used to have a yearly McCall family reunion at my aunts house. I loved that
I like your joke at the beginning. I love dark chocolate. I think James is just adorable. Flax seeds taste a little fishy to me. I have tried bone broth can't say that is my favorite tho. Take care of yourself.
According to your random thought I am very productive lol! Can't wait to have grands of my own. Have a great Wednesday :)
I like your random thought Debby! The other day son smoked some salmon and shared it with us. Oh my gosh, it was so delicious! One can never go wrong eating salmon!
betty
Good morning, Debby. I love that first pic - too funny. I can relate. I love See's Candy too. Have a wonderful week.
#1 is too funny! Wish I'd thought to say salmon. Now I'm craving some with the smashed avocado and salsa. Would you believe, we've never tried making salmon here at home. That.Must.Change!
I need to try See's candy. I follow another blogger that talks about See's candy and how delicious it is.
High Fives to having James in your life.

I think I learned that I can do things I never thought I could..
Sometimes necessity can be a great teacher.
what food ? Not fond of fatty fish or flaxseed...the others are in my diet at some point.
I guess I miss a steady paycheck which allowed us to do more traveling.
I really love my adult sons and the conversations we have now...I agree, Grandkids are such a blessing. I love them dearly.
I know it sounds crazy but I truly am enjoying doing so much around the house with my hubby.
I truly feel I am my own person.
Sue
We eat a lot of salmon and I think the avocado with salsa would be a great topping. I will definitely try it. And yes, what a blessing that little James must be.
I love all your answers, Debby! Speaking of flaxseed, that's what I coat my cast iron pans with, after I wash and dry them... flaxseed oil. I don't remember where I heard that but it's been awhile ago and I must say... it works beautifully. ~Andrea xoxo
Hello Debby, I enjoyed reading your answers. Now I'm craving some good dark chocolate from Sees! Grandchildren are great and also being comfortable with yourself. Hope the rest of your week goes well!
I really love our everyday life...I've never been happier. I'm 80 and Andy's 85, so we don't take anything for granted...we enjoy what we have while we still have it.
Great post! I miss my childhood days and my daughter's childhood. I think togetherness was the key to both - we did things as a family, played games, took trips, explored local places, my daughter played with her friend while I had fellowship with all the moms. Today, so much is done virturally - we have lost that face to face connection.
I'm going to have to try the salsa and avocado on salmon because that sounds delicious. We eat a lot of salmon here too. I like it grilled and topped with hot honey-yum! Kind of a sweet and spicy flavor. Thank heaven for grandchildren, right?! Enjoy your weekend!
Dark chocolate!! Yes! Avocados? Well, I used to like them but they really really don't like me (as in epi-pen style don't like me).
I too miss those days when the kids were home and when they brought their friends over. Now we will have grandchildren visiting.
Relaxing is pretty good and I see that we agree on the benefits of growing older.
I love your sign about relaxing. Even though we are in the middle of moving I am surprised I've had time to just relax. 💖
