Just wanted to touch base with those who follow me and the fact that I mentioned we were exposed to Covid-19 while we were in Milwaukee. My niece tested positive on Monday when she returned home and we have since found out that someone at the Memorial Service also has tested positive.
I believe I mentioned that I was very careful. Milwaukee was not masked, not compared to California. I myself continued to wear my mask and continued to be as careful as I possibly could be. Yes we went out to eat which is not something we had done at home, however I felt that all the tables were far apart and it felt somewhat safe to me.
To make a long story short, we went to get a PCR test on Wednesday. Yesterday I called to check on it and we were both negative. Other family members have been negative also. We had heard it would be 3-5 days before we would know yet in Florida they were told one day.
I ended up calling yesterday afternoon and we were negative. I asked about when they were going to call us and they told me that they don't call for negative tests. Well that was news to me and I'm glad I called because I was going a little crazy wondering what was up.
So as it stand right now we will be babysitting James overnight for 2 nights next week while Adam and Gabby go to a Wine Vineyard. I can't wait!
Be careful out there, wear your masks and sanitize your hands.

Praise the Lord!! I am so glad for this news, Debby.💕
This is great news so glad for the negative and that you will get to keep James
How is your neice doing?
Oh my goodness, Debby! What a scare! I'd still watch for symptoms & get re-tested if need be, as the incubation period is still going on for you two. Frightening for sure! Lordy! And you've been so careful all this time! That's the way I feel with our daughter & her new job... we've all been careful for so long and now she's exposed, to potentially bring it home to us. It's hard to keep up with this dang virus...I wish it would go AWAY!! ~Andrea xoxoxo
Awesome news! I’m surprised they don’t let you know negative results, too. One could assume they are negative, if a mistake was made and the positive call didn’t go out. ðŸ¤
Fantastic news Debby! Now enjoy that time with James!

That was a BLESSING! I didn't know they didn't call for negative tests - there could be some slip ups that way....
I'm so happy for you, Debby! My granddaughter (in South Carolina) recently landed a state job -- $30/hour, company cell phone, work from home. EXCEPT, it's calling people to inform them they tested positive and try to obtain their contact tracing info. Pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy that.
So glad that you tested negative... such a relief. We are still wearing masks on those rare occasions that we go out in public. I have had to explain that yes, I am vaccinated (only non-vaccinated persons are required to wear masks here) but I wear the mask as an extra layer of precaution. It's a small thing to do to stay safe and protect others. Enjoy having your little ones next week!
Glad to hear you are negative! I am vaccinated too and still wear a mask when I feel I need too. Enjoy your time with James!
Wonderful news! I am vaxed and as soon a I can get a booster I will be doing that too. I have gone nowhere without a mask since March 2020 and don't anticipate that changing much in the near future
Have a wonderful time with your James!
So thankful you are negative, and we trust it will stay that way. Perhaps just keep an eye on your temperature to be sure nothing is changing. And for those who did test positive, please be sure they know about the monoclonal antibodies infusion that is being made available in places where there is a lot of infection. It was a life saver for our kids. But they shouldn't wait too long.
Please take care, but by all means enjoy your grandson.
Thankful you both tested negative. And now... grand kids!!
That's great news. So glad to hear it.
They don't call for negative tests? That's nuts.
But yay for your negative test!
