2. What task-sport-chore-hobby-activity have you participated in or completed, that if judged, would land you a perfect 10?
I'm going to go with cleaning out the hutch and buffet in the dining room a few weeks ago. We had new carpeting coming and in order for them to move the furniture it needed to be emptied. I got rid of so many things that everything can now fit in the buffet and we could leave the hutch empty.
Mark had taken everything over to the Salvation Army. Now I'm actually excited to continue throughout the house and get rid of things.
3. What are ten of your favorite things right now?
This could go in several different directions. I am going to go in a material way but obviously my family and God are always favorites.
My new yellow purse, Hallmark Movies, a beer outside with Mark in the afternoon, Peanut Butter M&M's, vegetable skewers, new TOMS shoes, a bunny waiting for a carrot each evening in our yard, watching Bachelor in Paradise with Mark, pears and watermelon.
4. Nine times out of ten I end up not following through on my plans for the day. I may pick something out for dinner and then by dinner time I don't want to make it. Same with doing project. So I hide in my office and watch Hallmark movies. This is something that needs to stop!!!
5. Where were you when the world stopped turning, twenty years ago this week?
I was at home. I had just taken Mark to a very early flight at the airport. I came home and for some reason I turned on the TV. I saw that the first building had already been hit and I saw the plane go into the second building live on TV.
I was a very sad day for America. My dad happened to be in town and was at my Aunt and Uncles house. They are late sleepers and it was early but I decided that I had to call. I had to wake them up so they, along with my dad could watch.

#4 is so me. I try and make plans for things I want to get done on my days off and I very rarely do them.
I love your answers. Enjoy the M and M’s.

I love your memes, Debby. The 9/11 anniversary has been weighing heavy on my heart lately; I hope it never ceases to do so. So, I'm guessing Mark never made his flight? We were living in Florida at the time, but Tom was out in Arizona visiting his daughter. She dropped him at the airport and he'd already been given his boarding pass when the news came all flights had been canceled. Goosebumps, just typing this.
Have fun with your precious James, Debby. I know he will be just fine. In fact, he will probably cry when he wakes up to find Grandma & Grandpa NOT there... the party's over. *haha* ~Andrea xoxoxo
James will be so excited to be spending time with you and Mark that I think he will "barely" notice his parents gone. I'm sure you and Mark will make things fun for him and all of you will have a great time!
Good for you for cleaning out that hutch!! I bet it did feel good to purge things you felt you didn't need any more!
It is hard to imagine it has been 20 years since 9/11/2001. You would like to think our country learned a lesson that day but sadly I think we've slipped so much the other way.
Enjoy making memories with James over the next few days!!!
betty
So glad you tested negative. Hope you have lots of fun with James.
That is wonderful news that you ended the post with that your whole family was safe from the covid. Good luck with taking care of James I think he will be fine and so will the two of you.
I gave up making plans years ago. I have Possibility Lists. Eventually the important things get done.
You are going to have a great time with James!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also once you start cleaning out - you do get addicted to it!
Have a good day.
"Not following through with my plans for the day." Oh, you are not alone on that one!
Have you been watching the 9/11 specials on TV? We've recorded one series called 9/11 - One Day In America. It's all personal videos from survivors, incredible stories.
Have a great time with your grand son!
Have fun with James, I know it will go fantastic.
Good news regarding the COVID19 test!
Glad you tested negative. Hope all goes well while you care of James. Blessings!
I'm sure James will do great with you all, and it's so special to have that time with him. Enjoy every minute! So glad you tested negative, and good for you getting the hutch emptied.

5.In Las Vegas for a conference. Turned on the TV and witnessed the events unfolding before our eyes. All planes were grounded and we had to stay in LV for another week. We were comped at the hotel but it was such an emotional time for all of us.
I loved seeing all the patriotic support and flags flying everywhere. Put a lump in my throat.

You've totally distracted me by mentioning peanut M&Ms, which I am addicted to.
