2. Are you a scaredy cat? About what?
Yes I am scaredy cat when it comes to snakes. Of course I don't care for spiders either but I can usually conquer them.
3. Last time you were somewhere that should have been busy but felt like a 'ghost town'?
Nothing is coming to mind at the moment.
4. Do you like chili and if so how do you like it? Beans or no beans? Meat or no meat? Beef or chicken? Spice or no spice? Favorite toppings?
Yes I like chili. I used to buy Hormel chili. I actually worked in a corporate office for Hormel so I have stock in the company. Mark likes no bean chili but I don't mind beans and meat.
I actually make a chili in the crockpot that calls for meat but since Amber has been a vegetarian I make it without meat and I use black beans. I don't care for other beans.
Some Fritos on the bottom with cheese and raw onion on top! Actually Mark just recently asked me about making that chili in the crockpot.
5. Would you describe yourself as a night owl? What time of night qualifies? What are you doing while everyone else is asleep? Do you then 'sleep in'? Define 'sleeping in'.
We go to bed around 11 pm. Sometimes my mind is too active so I go into my office and watch movies. I usually will fall asleep to a movie and then switch back into bed. No I do no sleep in. I would love to have a morning where I sleep in but it just doesn't happen. I'm pretty much up with the sun.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We went to LaJolla with Amber and Dylan. They needed to see the ocean and wanted to see the seals. We had a fun day and ate at a favorite restaurant that we hadn't been to in years. While they were here we also went to and IKEA which of course was fun to walk through.

When my kids were little Halloween was a big deal around here. I was never able to buy enough candy to last the whole time. Now there are way less kids that come through the neighborhood and I don't know any of them..
I do like candy corn but I only used to buy it for Wade. It was one of his favorites.
I live in a rural area with no truck or treaters. I used to go to my son’s house when he lived in a little development, and help pass out candy. That was so much fun! Glad you took a trip to the ocean!
Oh my! Those seals! Love your pictures. Hope you have a wonderful day.
I love views of the pacific since I have never seen it. so beautiful. i like beans in chili, and kidney beans are my choice, but now i can eat chilie or beans which is a bummer. i love candy corn or did in the past. Halloween was fun when I was a child but all it was, was a jack o lantern on porches, and we went from house to house dressed in home made costumes, gathering candy. by the time my kids were that age, they were hding horror in candy and we had to drive to house that we knew who lived there,
I would love to go to the ocean and see the seals.
My mom made the best chili and of course I have no recipe.
I love Halloween too - we used to have 200 kids - now about 50 - I think our neighborhood aged!
Glad you had a nice time with the kids.

I visited LaJolla! Way back in 2010! ;-)
We will have our light on and the jack o lantern's twinkling for the Trick or Treat kids on Sunday. :-)
La Jolla is pretty. Several years ago hubby and I were near the tidepools and he bent over to touch something. His cellphone fell into the water! He end up getting a new one that day. Enjoy your weekend! Now that things are getting better, we have to plan a meet up.
Halloween isn't a big deal in our neighborhood..The kids have all aged out. We are lucky to get 40 or 50. I love seeing the little guys and their cute-ness.
My boys loved it and Hubby and our next door neighbor would walk the whole area with them. They would come home exhausted but having such a treasure bag full. They always made sure they went to the house that gave out big blocks of pink caramel corn..
2. I really don't like snakes or heights but I do what I have to do...
3. At the beginning of Covid the highways were so desolute it was really strange.
4. Love chili with beans and meat and lots of onion and cheese...yum.
5. So glad the rain has stopped and everything has time to runoff .
I'm visiting from Hodgepodge. I've never been to Ikea - the closest one is a little over 2 hours away. We tried to go one time when we were in that city and there was a huge traffic back up on the interstate and we decided it wasn't worth it.
You should have seen me with that snake over my shoulders at the tattoo shop's open house a few weeks back, Deb. I'll think of you now, whenever I see a snake. ~Andrea XOXOXOXO
Oh, I getting so hungry for chili! I'm trying to hold off making my own until my order of flash-forzen (Hatch) green arrives from New Mexico. Hormel has become a staple in our kitchen cupboard!
I enjoyed your post - the seals remind me of Pier 39 in San Francisco. Your EUROPE tab caught my eye so I'm off to read about your travels.
My mind tends to be active at night too but not for anything useful. i.e. I can't get work done but I can certainly over-think everything!
I don't mind snakes, but not spiders. I enjoyed your photos. I get up early so it's hard for me to stay up late, but sometimes my mind goes 100 miles an hour and I just can't sleep, so I get up and read or dink around on the computer.
It's cold and rainy today...chili sounds good.🤗
We are waiting to see if kids show up in this neighborhood where we are renting a house.
I don't mind spiders or snakes but house centipedes, camel crickets and cockroaches all freak me out.
