1. May Day! May Day!...last time you shouted for help? Or maybe just asked?
I don't want to gross anyone out but the handle on one of the toilets at my mother in laws house this past weekend came apart one day and of course it was when I had more then pee in it. Of course I shouted for Mark!
2. What's something you may do this month?
Mark will be cooking a dinner over at Adam & Gabby's on Sunday for Mother's Day. Prime Rib is on the menu.
We will be celebrating Amber's birthday this month but sadly we won't be together to do that.
3. 'April showers bring May flowers'...is this true where you live? What's blooming? What's your favorite springtime blossom?
No April showers here in Southern California. We have a lot of blooming flowers all year long. I know that back in Illinois I used to love the forsythia bush when it was blooming.
4. What's something you learned at your mother's knee?
I truly don't have any memories of that. It is not because of my age but I do have repressed memories.
5. Share a thought about motherhood.
It's pretty darn amazing when you see your children grow up and become adults.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Since we were gone for the last 5 days in Houston, as I mentioned in my last post, I came home to 189 blog posts in my Feedly account to read. Obviously I will not be getting around to reading all of them if any.
The time in Houston was wonderful and James was amazing with his Great Grandmother. More to come on that in another post.
This is a basket full of strawberries that I picked yesterday after being gone for 5 days. There are 54 strawberries in the basket and I had to toss about 15 others because the rollie pollies beat me to them.

I have quit asking for help because I've not had good experience when I do. I've learned to muddle through the best I can
Those strawberries sure do look good.
Whenever I've gotten behind on reading blog and my feedly is overflowing with posts, I hit the mark all as read and just start fresh. No one will mind if you miss a few posts.
delete those blog posts and move on to current. I would. glad James got along well with the great grandmother. I learned at my mothers knee that if she pinched me during church and I did not stop, when we got home she would tattle to daddy and I would be sorry..
Doesn't that always happen with the toilets? Thankfully at least Mark was there. Sounds like you guys had a very nice time visiting your MIL! I am so glad that this was able to take place. I can't wait to hear more about the visit as you share it down the road! Those strawberries look so yummy! Oh well, at least rollie pollies got a treat :) Don't worry about reading my blog. It was nothing earth shattering. Just finishing out the A/Z challenge Mark everything read and start afresh. Best thing to do without causing a lot of stress on your side.
betty
I'm envious of your berries! They look wonderful. I'm glad you had a great trip and wish you a happy Mother's Day!
Those strawberries look amazing! You could be a professional food photographer, Debby. Wishing you a delicious Mother's Day!
Oops about the toilet handle. Glad Mark was there.
The forsythia is such a lovely flowering bush!
I understand all about the repressed memories and not having many memories of sitting on your mother's knee. The one I shared in my own post, I actually heard from my parents.
Those strawberries sound delicious.
The strawberries look yummy!! Forsythia is one of my favorites, too. They bloom earlier in the spring in Alabama.
Oh, those strawberries look wonderful! I love fresh berries and talked about fresh blueberries today in my post. Just wishing I had some more. Oh, I understand those embarrassing moments! Thankful you had Mark to come to the rescue! I think we've all had those moments that we needed that special help... So glad you had a good time at your MIL's house otherwise. Oh, forsythia! I remember that in Ohio and New England. We don't have it here in Florida either. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful mother's day. It sounds like it is going to be a great dinner, for sure! Yum, Prime Rib! Wow! I've never attempted to cook that before, but I love it. Enjoy!!
I am glad you had a nice trip.
I get it about the toilet - lol.
Happy birthday Amber - sorry you won't be together.
So glad you had a good trip. The toilet story is just to funny and I can just imagine the panic. lol
Those strawberries look heavenly, Debby. Yummo! I'm so glad you had a good time while you were away. You were definitely missed here, that's for sure. Welcome back! ~Andrea xoxo
Those strawberries look good! Glad you had a nice vacation and that James got to meet his great grandmother. You have a nice Mother's Day too!
I don't have a great memory. I used to tell my mom she could tell me anything about my life and I"d believe her because I can't remember much. I enjoyed your asnwers.
