Welcome to another Tuesday 4 by Toni Taddeo.
Let's talk about light, okay? You light up my life.. shine a light in the darkness, Miller Light. All kinds of light but how about at home?
1. Are you afraid of the dark? Is night or day your favorite time?
Not necessarily. I'm not sure I can pick a favorite one.
2. Do you have night lights in your home?
Yes, we have several throughout the house.
3. How low do you set your air conditioning? Do you adjust it through the day?
They are set on 77 and we seldom adjust them. When we are getting ready to go out somewhere we might turn it down because it can get hot in the bathroom area off our bedroom.
4. Do you keep any outdoor or indoor lights on all night?
We do have lights at the front of the house that go on at dusk and off at dawn. We also have garden lights in front and back. As far as inside lights I would say no. We put them on as needed.
I do have a timer in one of the front bedrooms so it looks like someone is home. We basically live at the back of the house.

Hi Debby, I always enjoy reading your answers.
We have the A/C set to 74, we set it lower for the night. It is the humidity that gets the best of us, not so much the heat.
YES I am afraid of the dark, since birth. Yes, there is a nightlight in both bathrooms, the kitchen which in our small house means I can see to walk in every room in the house. we keep the ac on 75 and rarely touch it. I would turn it down at bedtime to 73 but bob freezes. I get cold but like it. the only lights on in our house are the fairy lights in the nook at night while watching TV and the kitchen if we need it. we try to never use lights.
that's a great idea to set a timer. Great answers.
I used to be afraid of the dark, but no longer. I'm not sure when that changed but I'm glad it did.
I haven't been afraid of the dark since I was about 6 years old. I don't have a preference between day or night.
I do have a nightlight in the bathroom that goes on when it's dark and off when it's light. That way I never have to turn the light on in the bathroom if I wake up in the middle of the night.
I don't have any outside lights that I keep on but I do have a light over my kitchen sink that is always on. Wade was the one who started that and after he passed I tried to turn it off when I wasn't using it but I'd gotten so used to it that I didn't like having it off any more.
Having a timer is a great idea!
The way in which our home is situated -- no neighbors on either side or across the street -- I'm very thankful for the security/motion detector outside lighting.
PS - This made me remember a story my pastor in Clearwater told: If you lived through the Great Depression, no matter how successful you may be now ... if you're getting ready for bed and notice a light burning in another room you get up and turn it off.
My house has been around 77-78 last week and this week too. My A/C cannot keep up with the heat. I think it is supposed to cool down starting tomorrow. I hope so anyway. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

I enjoyed your answers. Take care my friend.
For some reason only during the late fall and winter, we turn on a lamp in the dining room and keep it on until I go to bed, but in the summer we only turn it on if we have company and use the table in the dining room for meals.
Other than that we turn lights off and on except the fixture over the sink and one light in the den. This post made me realize since we have no kids here there is no reason for us to continue keeping it on at night. Guess I am a slow learner sometimes.
I like the day over the night because I like bright light :) It is good to set a timer especially if you aren't going to be home. We do that when we travel. We keep the AC at about 78 but sometimes drop it to 77 if company is coming over or if it feels stuffy. Of course here it runs day and night :)
betty
It's a great idea to have lights on a timer if others can see your lights from outside.
We keep our air around 78. I lower it if there are a lot of people in the house. I would love to run it cooler, but you know how expensive that is! Stay cool.
We finally got the cooler weather, so the window unit is getting a little break, so hoping it makes it for the rest of the summer! Loved your answers!
