3. What's the last thing you recorded in some way?
I think that would be the rain coming down last week. It's been so rare lately. In fact I had a reminder of a video of rain show up on Facebook from 7 years ago. Then it happened here the next day! We had an awesome downpour. I can't share it here because I haven't put it on YouTube.
4. Thursday is the first day of fall (in the northern hemisphere). How do you feel about the changing seasons? Something you're looking forward to this fall?
I'm okay with the changing seasons. We had a very hot and humid summer which is unusual for us so I'm glad that is ending.
James has his 4th birthday in October and we are also taking the trip I mentioned before to visit with Amber and Dylan. They are now in a house they rented and we can't wait to see it.
5. In what way (or ways) are you like the apple that didn't 'fall far from the tree'?
I'm not sure how to answer this. I come from a family of worriers, but I also come from a family that loves people and wants everyone to be happy.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

In 1978 I was just 16 years old. That feels like a lifetime ago. I do remember 78 rpm records. My parents had a whole stack of them and I would drag them out and listen to them.
Love your random quote. I'll have to remember that the next time the committee gets together...lol
SweetBabyJames is going to be 4 pretty soon?! I don't have to stop calling him SweetBabyJames, do I? ;-) ~Andrea xoxoxo
I like that random thought! Another one to post around the house as gentle reminders :) Time sure has flown. I can't believe James will be 4 years old this year! It would be great if we could freeze time, wouldn't it?

I agree with the negative committee. Kelly was born in 1978. I cannot believe James is going to be 4 already. WOW.
I love your random and there are many times, I need to do that!
HaHa...yes and amen on the random thought today!!
1978 I was being Mama to our 2 boys. One would be 5 and the other 10.
Right now I am like a broken record trying to find some things I put away in a Safe Place...Too safe it would seem...
I recorded our redwood tree being felled last week.
I do like the changing seasons and always look forward to fall and the beauty of the leaves and the "perfect" weather.
I guess my "apple" would be my love of photography (from my Dad) and hospitality from my folks. We always had company and drop ins when I was growing up. It never had to be fancy just the enjoyment of people chatting, laughing and being together.

James is going to be 4!!! Goodness, I can not believe it.
That random thought is a good one!
That last one is definitely true! I do let those thoughts run rampant sometimes, even though I know I shouldn't. Takes a lot of mental fortitude to get rid of them.
How can James be turning 4 already?!?! What a blessing to witness his own changing seasons.
Love your random thought.
I'm so glad about your rain! We finally got some this past week too, but it wasn't as much-needed as in your area.
I love that random thought too! In 1978 we were living in this apartment and have no desire to move.
We're headed your direction for a wedding and hoping for beautiful weather. Our grandson #2 also has an October birthday.I think we'll get to be with him on his birthday because his baby sister is due very soon after. So glad you've got a trip planned to visit your daughter. It's nice to have fun things on the calendar.
in 1978 I was battling life with two sons, 12 and 14 year old, trying to work, with a husband I wanted to divorce, no fond memorrys from those years. agree with every one 4 years have just zoomed by since James was born.
I enjoyed your answers this week Debbie. I LOVE the quote at the end. So good and so true!
