2. Many books, both fiction and non-fiction have been written with WW2 as the setting. Is this a 'genre' you gravitate towards? Share with us a book (or two) you've enjoyed that is set in some way around WW2. If you're not a reader, how about a movie?
No, I am not much of a reader and when I do it is a romance novel. Now when it comes to movies I love so many of them. Saving Private Ryan, Hacksaw Ridge, Dunkirk, Life is Beautiful, 1917, Midway, The Imitation Game and Jo Jo Rabbit.
3. According to Better Homes and Gardens Magazine there are seven popular color trends for the holidays this year. They are- red and white, Victorian blue, pops of pink, rich shades of green, rainbow hues, black and white, and nostalgic retro colors. Are you 'trendy' when it comes to holiday decorating in 2022? How so? Does your tree have a 'theme'?
All I can say it that I go with my collection of Christmas decorations that started in 1972 and then I have some very special decorations that belonged to my parents and to Mark's family which I treasure. As you know my trees are filled with Hallmark ornaments.
I also worked at Hallmark for 7 years and have a lot of decorations around the house from there. I have Jim Shore Christmas, I have every singing snowmen from Hallmark along with the books that have come out each year and recently, over the last several years they have an ornament that comes out which matches and it sings too.
4. What's a current trend you buck?
I haven't got a clue.
5. What's your favorite chocolate something?
I am currently in love with See's heart shaped dark chocolate filled with peanut butter. Otherwise I like their dark chocolate balls.

I never follow trends. I just like what I like even if it's out of style.
When it comes to chocolates, anything chocolate/peanut butter is my favorite.
"I'm not sure what they are teaching the children today but yes, I do think it matters. History should never be lost and I've been very disappointed in the things that have been destroyed in recent years."
Me too.
I like your candy choice! You and I love our Hallmark! I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather!
Your Hallmark Collection is probably very valuable now.
I love dark chocolate and peanut butter. lol
My parents got married 11-21-41 and my dad was called away. Tough.
Love, sandie
I'd not heard of The Imitation Game or Jo Jo Rabbit. Thanks for the suggestions! Indeed, there's NO place like home for the holidays. Great meme!
I haven't seen any of these movies, honestly, but then again I'm not much of a movie person.
Awesome that you have so many Hallmark things in your house and that you've been collecting Christmas decorations since 1972.
The peanut butter-filled chocolate sounds delicious except that I'd prefer it in a milk chocolate version.
One of my stepsons loved trains growing up, and every year, his dad would take him to our local Hallmark store where he could choose a train ornament for the tree. It's quite a collection! I really hated it when our local Hallmark store closed.
I sure would love to try those chocolates, too.
Blessings, Debby
I love See's chocolates too. I buy everyone an ornament each year and really enjoy picking those out to go with their personality or interests or something from the year past. Hope you're doing well!
I'm like you about bucking trends. I have no idea what they are nowadays. 😊
Hi Debby,
I have never tried See's chocolate. But I hear about it from several bloggers. ;-)
I have several Hallmark ornaments. My parents gifted me the Winnie the Pooh Book's each year.
I gave my husband a Hockey Player each year.
The boys have several of the Star Wars ornaments.
Hallmark has so many fun ornaments. I miss the Hallmark shop in our local city. Thankfully, we have one in Chippewa Falls, that is where the boys live, about 45 minuets from Cameron.

You should meet my co-worker! She collects Hallmark ornaments and has more ornaments on her tree than I've ever seen on any tree!! I hope you have a great week!
