2. Have you visited any 'falls' in person? Tell us about one of your favorites? Of the following top ten famous falls (according to this site ) which would you most like to see in person-
Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe/Zambia), Igazu Falls (Argentina/Brazil), Niagara Falls (US/Canada), Angel Falls (Venezuela), Yosemite Falls (California), Dettifoss (Iceland) Kaieteur Falls (Guyana), Plitvice Waterfalls (Croatia), Gullfoss-Golden Falls (Iceland), or Sutherland Falls (New Zealand)
I have seen Yosemite Falls and a few others up in Northern California. I would like to see Niagara Falls. They all look so beautiful.
3. What's something you'll miss about summer?
The long summer nights of daylight.
4. A favorite fall recipe?
I can't really say that I have a favorite recipe other then Thanksgiving dinner which I don't have to make anymore. We go to Adam and Gabby's on Thanksgiving. We kind of eat the same things year round.
5. Something you enjoy but lately have allowed it to 'fall by the wayside'?
Mark and I talk about this all the time. However, it's not just now but since the pandemic. We still don't go to the movies or out to eat very often. We will be going out with Adam, Gabby and James on Sunday to celebrate my birthday which will be nice.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Sadly I am still having issues with my lungs. I actually went to the ER last Wednesday. They couldn't find anything other than my chest congestion. Lungs looked good. So they gave me a steroid shot, breathing treatment and sent me home.
Today is Tuesday as I type this and it is the first day that my lungs seem to be opening up.
Also James was sick. They took him to the doctor last week also. Thankfully he is doing much better and spent the weekend with his cousins.

We seem to have an entirely new timeline now__pre-covid, pandemic, and post covid. I am not positive if it is just us aging a few years, but we do much less now than we used to. I think during the height of the pandemic I got so used to staying home and wearing "soft" clothes that it is difficult to give it up. We have not been to a movie post quarantine.
the world changed in 2020 and has never gone back and I don't think it will. or if it does i will be long gone from this earth. I wonder if maybe your lung issue could be you caught what James had/has. just a thought. glad the steroids are working. I saw Niagra when I was 8 years old. I only remember the fearful parts, Grandaddy riding in the cable car accross the falls while mother stayed with me screaming on the banks because Granddady would fall down in the falls, me screaming about the ferry that went under the falls.. i never forget things that scare me and rarely remember things that are good and fun.
I'm so sorry to learn you (and James) have been feeling so poorly! What a treat, having Adam and family host Thanksgiving. We still do that here, preferring to visit them on Christmas.
Happy early birthday! I hope every moment is wonderful!
Sending Get Well Hugs to All!!
Happy Birthday Debby!!
I too will miss the daylight... it gets dark very early here in Northwest Wisconsin in the Winter.. 5:00 PM!!!
We no longer go to movie theaters at all, Debby. We know that if we're patient, the film will be streaming in no time.
Glad your lungs are clear - that's great news! And of course, I do hope James has completely recovered.
Blessings!
Oh so sorry that James is sick..praying for a fast recovery and glad your lungs are clear.
I have seen Yosemite Falls too and several around the state but never made it to Niagara Falls..really would love to see that one. Our travels overseas haven't seemed to include Falls. Boo...
I do not like the time change coming up and the house gets so dark so early...
Always like soup and stews but frankly we eat them all year long.
Travel has seemed to go by the wayside, mostly because of finances and a very old car that we don't want to get stuck in some out of the way place with no money to get it fixed..sigh..this getting old is sometimes for the birds.

I love Thanksgiving, too! I hope y'all feel much better soon!
I've only ever been to Niagara Falls. It's been years since I've been there though.
Sorry to hear about going to the ER. Hope you're feeling better soon.
I'm sorry you have not been feeling well. There is once again so much Covid in our area-ugh! Hoping it gives us a miss! Happy early birthday to you Debby...wishing you a wonderful year ahead!
Since I am in the Southern Hemisphere there are no signs of what you call fall.
I have seen a couple of waterfalls in person but can't think where they were.
With summer just around the corner I am looking forward to sunny days
No recipe's as I no longer cook
So many things have fallen by the wayside in my life and I just starting to get back to being me
Our lives are albums written through time, with good or not, with false or true;
And he angels turn the pages of our years, may God grant the good with smiles and the not good with tears.
Not so nice about you having lung issues and James being sick
I'm sorry to hear about your lung issues. We'll all miss the long summer nights of daylight.
Debby you are absolutely right - there was pre-covid and post covid - it has really truly hurt the country in so many ways.
Gee - if your lungs look good - what is wrong with the breathing?
I am glad you are breathing better - stay away from sick people - but you know that.
♥
I'm glad you are starting to feel better. Fingers crossed it lasts. Please take care! ❤️
We don't go out as often as we used to either. When we do it's more of an outside adventure, like a walk in the wood or along the beach. It does make the times we do go out to dinner or to a friend's house that much more meaningful.
I never got around to commenting on last weeks posts and figured I needed to play catch up. I hate posting and then not commenting. Uggh. We'll see if I get around to posting this week. I enjoyed your answers. I think we'll all miss the longer days. I'm so sorry about your lungs. So frustrating! How is Mark doing?
