We saw Adam, Gabby and James on Friday night. They had asked us over for dinner. Then I got a text from Adam on Friday morning asking if we would like to pick him up at daycare and surprise him. We used to pick him up often before Mark had his fall last year. Anyway we said yes!
He was so excited. He saw me walk in the door at Jenny's and screamed Grandma and then Papa. He gave me the biggest huge ever. It did my heart good. We had a wonderful evening.
Several weeks ago James started playing soccer. His first week he was full of tears but has grown to like it since then. We bought him soccer equipment for Christmas and he practices with Adam. He talked about it like crazy in the car ride home to his house. We hope to go watch him next Saturday. The team did photos about 2 weeks ago. Doesn't he look cute?

I love when they are so excited to see you - he is so handsome. You know I think every child gets frustrated and cries at their first team sport - a new experience and learning for them.

That is so wonderful! Oh, to be able to surprise a grandchild again and have them scream, "Grandma, Grandpa!" I really miss those days. We didn't get to do it often since our grandson lived so far away, but those days were so special. Now he is 24 and still too far away. Love the pictures. Happy he is having some fun playing soccer. Every little boy seems to have to do that and/or T-ball, little league, etc. We went through that with our kids and grandson too. Fun times. They grow up way too fast, so enjoy every minute you can.
