WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Click on the button and join in today!

Thank you Joyce.

1. What is one piece of advice you would give a 'just turning' 21- year old adult?
Don't Drink and Drive!!! Always Pick a Designated Driver!!! My husband and I always have tried to make the point that if we are going to drink we are staying at home otherwise someone has to be a designated driver.

2. Besides cooler weather (or warmer weather, depending on your hemisphere) what is one thing you are looking forward to this fall?
Well my bowling season started yesterday so that is one thing I love about Fall!

3. What sound lulls you to sleep?
Sometimes it's the TV but we use a sound machine with White Noise.

4. September is National Preparedness Month...does your family have an emergency 'kit' and/or disaster plan in place?
Not really. We have plenty of supplies to last us for a long time but they are not in one location packed in a sealed box outside like it should be.

5. How has your blog changed since you started blogging? Or has it?
I don't believe it has changed other then learning how to change the backgrounds and add things. Getting more followers was fun. I don't watch my numbers and I don't need to be big but it was fun to see them grow over the last few years. (Thank You)

6. What's something you've recently learned to do on the computer?
Truthfully I have recently learned to turn it off and walk away which is a good thing for me right now. I'm not perfect at it yet but I am trying to enjoying life outside of my office in the house.

7. Is a picture worth a thousand words? Elaborate.
Definitely! Any picture of 9/11 will speak a thousand words of sadness, pain, grief, etc.

8. Insert your own random here.
I really don't have anything at the moment. I normally have my random ready in a post before Joyce even gives us the questions! I sucked at bowling yesterday and I went to see Midnight in Paris with Mark last night. One of our local theatres now has $5.00 Tuesday's!

I loved Midnight in Paris, I hope you did too.

I like your answer to #6. We have cheap movies on Tuesdays here too...movie prices are crazy but I still like to go to the theatre so a cheap nite option is nice.

Have a good day!

I love listening to the sound of the ocean when I fall asleep

See, you did have a random thought! Like the sound of rain and a wood stove to sleep to. Nice advise as well.

We start bowling on Thursday night. I have not picked up a ball all summer. I am going to stink.

I love all your random answers.

Nice answers! Be glad I don't play on your bowling team. I can't throw anything but gutter balls. Except on the Wii- I do great on that one! LOL

Loved all your answers.
I agree that pic says so much.

I love fall decorating! The colors are so warm and inviting!
Hopefully my blog has become more informative and I certainly hope I have become a better writer.
The TV lulls me to sleep.
To a 21 year old...Life changes daily...change with it or be left behind!

As you may have noticed, I love changing the background and such on my blog.
I also enjoy getting new followers and receiving comments. Thank you :)

I need to learn to turn the computer off and walk away.
Now that I've discovered Pinterest that makes it even harder.

Since beginning blogging, I am finding that I have been left waaaaaaay behind. I don't know how to make my page "pretty" like most of you. My daughter keeps promising to help me, but so far... no luck. :o(

I love that you're learning to walk away from the computer. It's definitely a balancing act - one that I haven't quiet mastered yet - but I'm trying!

I can't believe the 10 year is right around the corner. What a sad heartbreaking day. I was young but still remember everything. Sorry I haven't been by I'm so behind and still remodeling our living room. Work never ends. Good luck with bowling season!!!

Sad day-9/11-even sadder most of the students I teach, don't remember this day. They can't understand what all the sadness is about:(

Great advice for a 21 year old.. I would tell them if they work hard now they will have a great life as they get older. Do not be scared to try new things but make safe choices..

I love the smell of pumpkins in the Fall..

Love the 9/11 pic...

have a great evening..

Excellent on #6. I've been trying to do that a little more often ... feels good! ;-)

Bowling looks like such fun, but the one time I tried it was a horrific experience! Perhaps I should try again sometimes.

I love to go to the movies, wish we had cheap movies like that!

...and good for you for having the ability to turn off the computer and step outside, I need to do more of the same.

Midnight in Paris,, some how just reading that brought back an old mempory of when I was a child and my Mom had this neat AVON bottle, dark beautiful blue and the name of the perfume was, "Evening In Paris"... Does anyone remember that too???? She was an AVON lady as I grew up in So. Cal and she'd really go door to door for sales.. WOW, was that ever a long time ago...
Thanks Sis, for allowing me to go off into that old rememberance, here at your BEAUTIFUL Blog once again ;0)

AND Hugssssss for the sweet note just a bit ago too!!!!
Love and Prayers~~~Dena

I would tell the 21 year olds of the world to make sure they keep themselves grounded - Life is so much more than parties, clothes and alcohol. Pick an organization and volunteer time each month.

Don't drink and drive is an excellent piece of advice.

Oh! OH! Did you not LOOOOVE Midnight in Paris!?
I haven't enjoyed a movie quite so much in a long time. It's just the literary geek in me, I guess.

I am trying to spend less time on the computer too....it's not easy. And oh, any picture of 9/11 does prove that point exactly.

I haven't seen Midnight in Paris....is it good?

I generally use a white noise machine but now it's so cool I've got all my windows open and will let the cicadas lull me to sleep.
