BLOGIVERSARY GIVEAWAY WINNER

It took me long enough to post this, don't you think? Well I was all set to mail the gift but then Nancy was out of town. Then after Easter I was down and out with my asthma most of the week. Anyway I finally mailed it.

Don't we all want some "Happiness" in our lives. That is my favorite Willow Tree piece and that is what I decided to give to my blogiversary winner. Nancy over at Toowonderfulforme was the lucky winner! I love how God works, Nancy was going through some tough times and was so excited to hear that she was the one who won. She didn't even know what she won. I waited to post this until she received it because it was a surprise. I also sent her a $20. gift card to Starbucks!

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful comments. I also want you to know that I had 50 comments before I closed this giveaway. I have sent a donation of $50. to Red Cross/Japan for those 50 comments.

I made the Red Cross/Japan donation on April 19, 2011. Since that donation was made and so many horrible things have happen here in the states I decided to do another $50. donation to the Red Cross for Disaster Relief: Tornadoes, Floods, Wild Fires, etc. I did this donation on May 1, 2011.

There is a new post over at Debby's Tree today.

WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Click on the button and join us each Wednesday.

1. Have you ever been served breakfast in bed? Do you enjoy that? If someone were serving you breakfast in bed this coming weekend what would you hope to see on the tray?
I am pretty sure I have had breakfast in bed but it's been way to long ago to remember. Definitely enjoyed it. I would love some eggs over easy, buttered toast and some sausage.

2. What is one piece of advice you would give a new mother?
Nap when your baby naps! Also start a blog, it's the best baby book in the world and you can make it into a hard book each year.

3. When was the last time you wanted to scream? Explain.

I can only think of one time recently and I can't share it. Sorry

4. Can you hula hoop?
Yes I can. I also like stilts and a pogo stick

5. What is something people do in traffic that really bothers you?
Talking on their phone. Why can't they get how dangerous that is.

6. What do you do when people don't admit they're wrong?
Well I blew up years ago with my father-in-law when I knew he was wrong. His children and people who knew him would just let him always win. I just couldn't do it anymore. Well that turned into two years of him not talking to me. He was so stubborn. I would still try to prove myself being right to a family member. As far as other people go I just let it go. If I know in my heart I am right that is good enough for me. See most people who won't admit it will eventually know that they were wrong

7. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'fun'?
Scrabble each night in the cabin at Mammoth Lakes, CA each summer. Next would be Disneyland which we are going to on the 20th of this month

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Most of you know that I have another blog called For Your Tears where I mail out handkerchiefs to women who have lost a child. (if you ever have the need for one please feel free to contact me, it doesn't have to be an infant. Our children are always our babies no matter how old they are) I just wanted to share a recent post with you from a woman who received one from me. Her name is Christy and her blog is called Everlasting Families. This is why I do it. If I can bring comfort, even for a brief moment, then I have done what God asked me to do.

MAY DAY

I was thinking of sharing some of my flower pictures with you and I thought what a better day then May Day! What are your visions of May Day? This picture is what I always thought May Day was all about. Then I looked it up and found out that it means a whole lot of things to different people.

May 1st, often called May Day, just might have more holidays than any other day of the year. It's a celebration of Spring. It's a day of political protests. It's a neopagan festival, a saint's feast day, and a day for organized labor. In many countries, it is a national holiday. (source)

Do you remember me talking about the Ranunculus we didn't see in Carlsbad, CA last month? At that time I bought a bouquet and took pictures of them. Well when we went to Costco just before Easter they had a several beautiful bouquets of them and of course I had to have one. I can stare at these all day long. Anyway I thought I would share them with you for May Day.

I think I might have to get a canvas made!

This is my favorite.

Have a beautiful May!
