Quick takes of a rambling mind....

That's my mind today, it's full of quick takes. I am driving to meet my daughter to have lunch today and my mind is bouncing all over the place. Ideas going through my mind of what I want to write today. OMG I must have hundreds of ideas. The problem is that I want to share it all right now. That's me, I always want things yesterday! So how do I decide what to share today? Do I have blogger fever or what.

Here is the big news, I actually left the house today. I've become a bit of a shut-in. Just think about it, I don't work part-time anymore so I usually leave the house on Tuesdays to go bowling. Then I quit smoking last September and I didn't even go into the yard much. At least with Skye I actually get out into the yard again. That is a good thing. I also haven't found a church since I moved so I am home on Sundays but I must say that my relationship with God is better then ever.

So do I talk about my collectibles: S & P shakers, teapots, small chairs, giraffe's, willow tree, roosters, tins and my ornaments. Yes I actually put over 700 ornaments on my tree. It is my yearly masterpiece. Do I share my interest in movies or should I say my weird addition to movies. We will go there later.

I did want to tell you about my day on the road. Why is it that people can't turn their heads and actually look before they change lanes. Yes Virgina there is a blind spot! I could have been in two accidents today. Thank you God for my quickness.

Then I go to TJ Maxx to look at their collection of Polish Pottery. I love this stuff and they get in the seconds so sometimes I stop to see what they have. No I am not Polish I am actually Bohemian. Can you believe that my grandmother would say this to me " Stay close by so the gypsies won't take you." Now how often do you ladies say that to your kids? Anyway the guy who rang me up gave me the wrong change back. It's really not that hard.

So here is the icing on the cake of my day. The Hallmark Dream Book arrived today. Yes I am beside myself with excitement. Ornaments come out in July, then more in October & November. To the collector it is the highlight of the summer months. To Hallmark it is a way to get sales up during the summer. So I lightly flipped through the book and have set it down. I just can't get into right now. I have to prepare myself for what I am going to see. I try to limit myself each year but let me tell you that I fall in love with most of them. Years ago I wouldn't even go into a Hallmark store until the day after Christmas. Then I started working in a Hallmark store and because of my discount I would buy anywhere from 40 to 60 new ones each year. Now I try to only buy about 30 or 35. They are my passion, the thing that I really collect with my whole heart. Here is the sad side, my kids are not interested in them at all. They have both actually given me back all the ornaments I gave them over the years that I worked at Hallmark. I can only pray that I will have a grandchild someday who will share in my passion. If that doesn't happen I suggest you look for the sale after I'm gone!
