It doesn't take much to get me in the mood for Christmas. One of my favorites is always the music. I love the music and have always listened to it from Thanksgiving to after New Year's. I have more Christmas music CD's then other music. CAN YOU TELL THAT I LOVE IT! I actually got a great one from Hallmark last year, just music with no words and I actually listened to it for months after Christmas on nights I couldn't sleep with my MP3 player.
So last week on my way to bowling (the one day I leave the house) I was scanning my radio to see if anyone was playing it yet. Couldn't find anyone. (I'm sure it's on Sirius but I'm seldom in my car and I just don't believe in paying for radio) So last weekend when the kids were over my son said he's been listening to it on cable. (You know the music stations) I always forget about these on my cable. So yes it's called "Sounds of the Season" so that is now what I am listening to each day in my office while I'm blogging. What really made me happy is the fact that my 30 year old said that he was already listening to it because he is in the spirit already. That just melted my heart :)
These also get me in the mood:
CHRISTMAS BULBS
PINE CONES
SNOWMAN
So have some fun with the music. When my aunt and uncle were alive we would go over to their home on Christmas Eve. (only family in CA) We use to live about 45 minutes from them without traffic. So we would listen to Christmas music on the radio. (THIS WAS A MUST!) So we would try to guess who was singing the current song. It was actually a really fun tradition. Of course my husband and I would usually know more of them than the kids. So now as I am sitting here listening I am playing that same game, looking over to the TV to see if I'm right on my guess! Try it, it's fun!

Sounds like fun, have to try it. Going to a craft show for christmas today and Santa and Mrs Claus should be there. Kids will enjoy it and Mom to.
Thanx for sharing !!

We have had Christmas music playing on the radio since just after Halloween. I try to not listen until Thanksgiving is over. I mean the turkey gets left out. I love your game. I have done that before.
Last week someone put lights up in the neighborhood. I was like "already?" They're really pretty but when you start in November and leave them up until January, they lose some of their beauty.
I am like you only I usually listen to some Christmas music in July just because I miss it.
I'm staring at my Thanksgiving decorations wanting to take them down because I LOVE Chistmas decorations.
I love the cooking, the smells, music, snow.........ahhh the list is endless.
Here, in Southwestern Michigan, we have a radio station that starts playing Christmas music 24/7 on the 1st of November!
I am getting anxious for thanksgiving because the day after my tree goes up...Yippee!
Have a great weekend...Oh, and thanks for the tip about the cable music channel!
I love Christmas music, and have been orgnizing mine on the computer this morning. We have Sirius in the house, but I also like the TV station. That is what I usually listen to.
Happy Listening!
All my friends are getting their Christmas stuff out.....but I just can't until after Thanksgiving....oh, yea, maybe because it's at my house this year!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!
I would be all into Christmas right now too, but my husband is totally against anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Seriously, why not enjoy the wonderful Christmas season as long as possible?! I think I'm going to throw in some music now while he's out hunting. ;-)
the monday after halloween a radio station here in Salt Lake started the Christmas music and i love it. yeah it might be a bit to early for most folks but not for me. have a great weekend!!!
Love Christmas music too...have to go dig out my CD's and old piano sheet music now...
I love Christmas Music too, but I haven't listened to any onradio yet. I did have a DVD out for the kids with some Christmas music on it.
Hi Debby, looks like people are getting into the Christmas spirit sooner this year. One of our neighbors already put her Christmas decor up and I finally started Christmas shopping...Christine
I just can't bring myself to listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. :) there are a couple of local stations that start playing it non stop November 1st and I just can't do it! But after Thanksgiving then I am all about it!
I don't listen to music much at all, but I do love Christmas music. I think it's fun that you have a little game to guess the artist :)
