HI EVERYONE! Time is flying by pretty quickly. I worked really hard to get my house done for the
Christmas Tour of Homes. The house is full of Christmas cheer. I haven't really had a chance to enjoy it yet, that is why our home will stay decorated until mid-January. I enjoy it the most after Christmas.
I was able to get all of my out of town gifts ready for shipping. I wasn't able to get any baking done to include in the boxes this year. I just ran out of time and energy. I also worked on my gifts for bowling. I love giving gifts to the woman on my team and to their children. I also made a green bean casserole for our party at bowling. It was a great day!
I have a few more gifts to pick up and then the wrapping will begin for our kids. I am so excited about Christmas. My daughter is going to come over and help wrap some of the gifts with me.
On Friday I am taking the kids again to Disneyland. If you remember we went in
October for my birthday. This time I just want take time to really look around and maybe shop. It seems like all we did in October was run from ride to ride. I've never seen Christmas at Disneyland so it should be fun!
Then the plan after that is to bake, bake and bake some more! I don't know who will eat it all but I just have to do it. I'll send some over to my neighbors. I will be making another
Bohemian Houska too for Christmas morning. I think that we are having prime rib on Christmas day!
Do you want to know what my favorite part of Christmas is?
It's going to a Christmas Eve service at church. It is so wonderful to hear all the beautiful Christmas songs, especially Silent Night. They make me cry but that's okay. I can always remember my mom singing them, she had a beautiful voice. When I was growing up Christmas Eve was THE night. I don't know why my parents did it this way but Santa would come while we were at church on Christmas Eve! (kind of different) I will come home from church and most likely watch "It's A Wonderful Life", that is a tradition of mine.
Since my Aunt & Uncle have passed away we have no family here in California. We use to spend Christmas Eve with them. The kids will be busy on Christmas Eve but we get them all day on Christmas. It will be a day of joy! I know that I have allot of friends who will be having a difficult time during the holidays and my prayers are with all of you. I pray for your comfort.

I can't wait I haven't been in years on Christmas Eve. I'm so excited to go to the new church this year.
It's a wonderful life is our tradition also!
I'm so glad the kids will be there on Christmas Day!
can you believe that I have not seen Its a wonderful life?
Disneyland and Christmas, how much fun will that be!?
I'm sdo glad I'm not the only one who cries during Christmas songs. There is just something beautiful about the simply yet rich melodies that speak of the birth of our Savior. Something tells me I might be even more emotional this year!
We too, skipped baking this year. I might have to whip up some cut cookies anyway. It won't be Christmas without them.
What fun to go to Disney twice in a year and especially during the holidays. It would be nice to actually "see" the park and not race around. I cry at the Christmas songs too, I can't help it.
I also love the Christmas Eve services. It seems to put everything into place before the big day!
Have fun in Disneyland, Debby. You ought to try going on a cruise. It will definitely be a wonderful experience, I promise! Come back and see my tablescape when you can please...Christine
You have such wonderful plans and I can tell that you will really be enjoying the holidays! Have a wonderful time!
Makes me yearn for the christmases of my youth... somehow it's just not the same anymore for me.
Love to see and read that the xmas spirit is still alive and well in the world, makes me want to celebrate with you!
Debby, You have been busy. Sounds like so much baking going on. I bet everything will taste so good.

Such lovely memories Debby. have a wonderful time at Disneyland!
I haven't had to to bake either plan on starting it on Monday cause if they are here I eat them for breakfast, lunch and supper!!!
Debby,
I agree with you that spending the evening at church on Christmas Eve is magical. Last year after church let out, they had snow machines going in the courtyard and you can just imagine how excited all the children were to enjoy this moment with their parents.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
