Saturday 9: Hurts So Good
1. Tell us about the last time you really got hurt.
The last time I felt pain within my heart with deep emotional crying is when I said good-bye to my dog Angel. But I have a whole history of hurt I could tell you about.
2. What's your oldest possession?
I have my grandfathers Singer sewing machine. He was a tailor. (I am 58)
3. Do you have any phobias?
Irrational fear of my dog getting hurt. (according to my husband)
4. What values did your parents instill in you?
I like to think of it as what they didn't instill in me: Racism
5. What are your plans for Easter?
We are having Easter dinner today. Our adult kids will be here. We are having prime rib and we will also be celebrating a birthday.
6. I like sun more than snow.
Definitely!
7. Tell us about 3 fads from your teenage years.
Tie-dye ~ Mini skirt ~ Bell Bottoms
8. Tell us what is the most important attribute in a lover.
I would normally say a good sense of humor, now I'm thinking compassion.
9. What new piece of technology have you resisted buying and what would it take for you to change your mind?
I think a fancy phone that I could blog from, twitter from, etc. I'm just not ready for that, I like when I finally walk away from my computer. I think I would be doing this all day long!

good post...it's always nice to know each other on a little deeper level.
hugs to skye (and you *wink*)!
happy Easter to your family.
I think that most people have a whole history of hurt, but it's how we get through that hurt that forms us.
I have a fancy phone that gets emails, but I don't surf the net with it or anything - it's just not my laptop. But then again, there once was a day when I left the house and couldn't take my phone because the cord wasn't long enough! haha!

We had one of those old Singer's too. It belonged to my grandmother. I'm not sure what happened to it.
Have a great Saturday!

I'm sorry about Angel. A little over a year ago, I lost my best friend - she was a pit mix (but an incredibly sweet & smart dog). I named her Kitty. :)
That way I could be like "Wanna see my Kitty?" and people would say "Yea..."
"Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.." and my pit would come running and wagging her tail. :)
I totally agree about the phones with the internet! They're neat, but I'm scared if I had one, I'd never get off the internet...I'm on it too much as it is and it's a relief to get away from it!
Phones with internet totally doesn't work for me.
Happy Easter!
Grandfather's sewing machine...what an amazing heirloom!
Have a wonderful Easter!
It's so funny, we're the same age, so tie dye and bell bottoms are in my memories too!!!!! AND I don't have one of the fancy phones either and it bugs me that my children do! :)
I don't have a fancy phone either. I don't know that I will ever see spending that kind of money on myself as a good idea.
#8... humor vs compassion - those are both important attributes. I would add responsible too.
Hugs Debby!
I have a "smart" phone and I am addicted to it. Beware.
