This afternoon I leave the heat, the humidity and the rain. Not that it isn't hot in California right now but I can sit in my house with the air set at 74 and breathe! My dad keeps his at 78 and he is still chilled. After I leave he will put it up around 82. I have pretty much had a wet head most of the time! Not really very pretty on me.
We had a storm brewing on Thursday!
Obviously I will be missing the kids which are my sister's grandchildren.
Didn't see any alligators so that was a good thing!
It has been a great trip. My dad is going to miss me and I will miss him too, very much. I have told him several times that me going home is a good thing, it means he is well and back on his own two feet. We could have had a totally different outcome and I am counting my blessings.I am looking forward to seeing my children, my husband and can't wait to get all the wet kisses from Skye :) (and Charlie too, my grand pup)

That sounds like a fun and productive trip for you, and heading home is always a good feeling, even though you will miss your dad and your sister's grandkids. Good news your dad is back on his feet.
So glad things turned out well for your father. I know it must have been very stressful for you, so be sure to take some time out to decompress after arriving home.

Having some time with your dad was probably a good thing for both of you, and now heading home is the best.
Oh, do I understand what you mean about the heat! The humidity in California is soooooo low! It doesn't feel nearly as hot.
My mama keeps her thermostat way up there too and she's cold too!!! While I sweat. I know you'll be glad to get home and see Skye.

I am so happy that your trip was a success and that your dad is doing well! (despite loving those high temps! Yikes! I would be a sweaty mess) What a wonderful time to spend with the kiddos and an added bonus is now you get to get home to your own babies! I'm sure that they all missed you too!!! (and yeah for grand-dogs- my folks had a couple of those before we had the human variety... My mom kept a journal for Pele' once when we left on vacation! tee hee hee!

and yea! it's sucky hot down here in the southern US huh???? all we can do these days is stay inside to escape the humidity... lol

It's always good to spend time with parents but sometimes their ways are just funny. At least your dad will turn on the air, my parents like to leave their windows open to enjoy the cool breeze off the ocean. Frankly I've never felt that cool breeze. They live in Brownsville, Tx. and baby it's hot!

Ahhh that sure went quick! I'm so glad he's doing better and can be on his own. Many prayers to your safe return.
