Since Random Dozen isn't going on right now my friend Joyce from THIS SIDE OF THE POND is trying something new called Wednesday Hodgepodge. Head on over and join us. Thank you Joyce :)
1. Do you think you're more like your mom or your dad?
I am definitely more like my mom, she had a very kind heart. However my father is a wonderful man too and will go out of his way to help you if he can.
2. Do you like roller coasters?
Yes I do! It had been years since I had been on any but last summer I did some with my great-nieces. My husband doesn't do them at all, does not like amusement parks so the opportunity doesn't come up very often. I did do all the good ones at Disneyland last year! My favorite thing, which really isn't a roller coaster ride, is the Tilt-A-Whirl.
3. How did you name your blog and do you now wish you'd thought about it maybe another five minutes before you hit publish? Would you change your blog title if it were not a huge pain in the derriere? (French makes everything sound a little nicer doesn't it?)
No I would not change it. From the movie Ever After before going to the ball, Drew Barrymore says "Just Breathe." With my asthma (COPD) that is what I want to do on most days!
4. What is the best wedding gift you received? Not married? Didn't get any gifts? Then what is the best wedding gift you've given?
So you expect me to remember 38 years ago? It's not happening, sorry but I have drawn a blank on this one.(went to dh on this one and he couldn't come up with anything either)
5. What is the one bill you most hate to pay?
I don't pay the bills and so I really don't know for sure so I am off to ask my husband. Okay his answer is "the mortgage (which I figured would be the answer) because it is the largest except for the occasional credit card bill from you." I'm surprised he said occasional! (honey if you read this you should have said the taxes which was Joyce's answer)
6. Is the glass half full or half empty?
In reality my glass is half full but in my mind it always seems to be half empty.
7. What is your favorite word? Okay okay. Calm down. How about one of your favorite words?
I know that I type awesome often when I comment. Again I asked my husband to see if he noticed me saying some word more then others and his answer was: "Oh Shit there is laundry to do!"
8. Now, this is where you insert one random thought of your own...maybe something that struck you as funny, something that recently had you scratching your head in confusion, something that annoyed you a teensy bit, something on your to do list, something you are looking forward to, whatever. As long as it is in keeping with the friendly tone we've all come to know and love on Wednesdays then we're good. Don't make me get out my wooden spoon.
The Marie Claire article bothered me a teensy bit, no actually a lot! Go check it out.

LOL at the "oh shit there is laundry to do!" Famous last words every night in my house before bed!
I'm glad you joined the party I'll have to check out the article a little later today...I'm running late for something at the moment, yet, here I am reading your blog. : )
I've seen that article--I don't agree with her position at all. I think the show is showing more realistic people than lots of shows out there.
hahaha on the laundry. with just the two of us now it's not so bad. but even still, i still wanna say shit occasionally. that would raise the hub's eyebrows!! ;)
dont like the article either.
i am laughing SO HARD over his answer to number seven.. lol
and DITTO to number 8!!!!
haha..laundry!
I love to get the Tilt-a-Whirl spinning. Too fun. I know exactly what scene you refer to in the movie. Really like your answer to #6. I'll have to read the article later. Gotta dash for now. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
I think your blog is named perfectly! And after reading the article, I have to agree with you.
My husband probably would have said mine was "oh crap, I don't know what I'm going to wear tomorrow!!"
...and the article bothered me A LOT!!
hmm... that article is questionable. love your answers, also love your fall blog design!
I used to love the tilt-a-whirl. Can't handle it anymore, though.
That article made me uncomfortable.
Your hubby is just too funny! I find myself typing "awesome", "beautiful", or "gorgeous" way too much!
I loved your husband's answer to your favorite words :) I read the article referred to in #8, and I agree with you. Apparently, so did a lot of other people since the author was doing some major back-tracking in the update.
Have a great day, Kathy
You were cracking me up here! You're a hoot!
I love the oh shit. I have to watch my mouth around G.
That article had a lot of people stewing. It was so not okay.
Love the "Oh shit, there is laundry to do!" I loathe doing laundry. I can hear both the washer and dryer creating more work for me right this minute. ugh.
I love the way you named your blog. So much more creative than mine. Although I am sorry you have trouble breathing sometimes.
I love rollercoasters too - they get scarier as I get older - ha ha!
I can't remember anything I got for my wedding! Too long ago.
Loved your answers. I'd have to say the bill I hate paying the most would be the taxes.
Off to check out Marie Clair...
Hi -- I'm visiting from Wednesday Hodgepodge! Awesome is my word too! Great posts!

hehe your hubs cracks me out about the laundry comment hehe!!!
I love the word Awesome ;)
My favorite word is "lovely."
I read the MC article the other day and I felt sad for the person who wrote the article.
Kristin - The Goat
I love the movie Ever After...and I like the idea that your blog title came from it...I laughed at your answer about laundry...it's a monster around here that I can beat back, but never kill...it was fun to stop by here today!
Your husband's answers made me chuckle- but then when I went to that link my laughter left me! Oh my gosh that woman should be ashamed of herself!!! Especially writing for a magazine (I'm assuming that is what Marie Claire is... I'm out of the loop!) It sounded like she tried to take it back after she realized what an ass she was but it is hard to take back that sort of thing!!! Shame on her- I'm guessing all those 3000+ comments gave her a ribbing... (at least I hope they did!!!!)
Hugs-
L
Oh I love a good rollercoaster too! My least fave bill is the heat:)
I love how your hubby got in on the fun of this too! (whether he realizes it or not!) LOL Great answers!!
I love the name of you blog! It is a nice reminder to slow down and relax...Just Breathe
Loved your answers and I love Rollercoasters too.
Caroline
You should ask your husband to write a post about you one day! He seems to know you a bit (which of course he should, he is after all your husband).
I've tried to read that Marie Claire article and thought the writer was an idiot. Even with her retraction and appology at the end. She cannot be so stupid that she didn't realise she would be hurting and/or insulting people. And her suggestion at the end (I can give you some tips on healthy eating etc) was just downright denegrading towards everybody struggling with anything from a few extra pounds to obesity!
Fun!
I have been begging PJ to write a post for me but so far it has not happened : )
Hi Debby! I usd to love riding roller coasters but I don't enjoy them as much anymore but I still ride with my granddaughter....Christine
OMG Drew does say that, doesn't she?!?!
Roller coasters scare me to death but I still go on them! I also love the hurl-a-shirl type rides too...I loved the scrabbler ride.
That is how I feel about laundry!!
I am also like my Mom a lot and it is not a bad thing at all. I am not a fan of roller coasters though. I did go on them for my honeymoon with my husband. The best gift ever for my wedding was my husband.. I do not like to pay any bills.. I want to grow and money tree instead.. Have a great day. That article was mean and harsh. At least the person saw she was wrong.. I hope she thinks before she does that again..
i love LOVE roller coasters and i say awesome alot too haha
Hey Debby, there is an award for you on my blog! Hop on over and pick it up, if you'd like to have it. Have a great evening, Kathy
Oh Yes... the laundry made me laugh too...it is never ending lol. Trish
Have a great weekend..
Love your laundry line. From now on, every time there is "Oh shit, laundry to do," I'll think of you and smile!!! Someone should take a wooden spoon to the dingleberry who wrote the Marie Claire article!
#7 is funny. I used to love roller casters but haven't been on one in years. Don't need to - my life has become a roller coaster!
I would have liked to do this one but didn't get to it intime. I saw Vandy's on Thursday and yours today. LOL i'm so behind.
Favorite Wedding gift? my husband
