I purchased a Poinsettia this week.
It was something new called "Ice Sparkle" or something like that.
I really think it is pretty.
Went to dinner at a place called Mario's Place in downtown Riverside. It was a Christmas dinner for about 17 people from the office where my DH works. It was a wonderful dinner and evening. Mario's is right across the street from the Historic Mission Inn. Our daughter got married there almost 9 years ago. Well at Christmas the Mission Inn does a Festival of Lights. My pictures didn't turn out great but I wanted to share them anyway. They put over 3.5 million lights on the Mission Inn each year.
Skye was playing with a little green rubber light bulb that belongs to Charlie. She must have thrown in up in the air and it landed in the tree. Maybe she was helping me decorate, who knows! Anyway I thought I would share the picture that I was able to get. You can't see Charlie very well but he has his head buried in the tree, he is very nosey.
Hopefully you will be seeing some decorations from around the house. Cross your fingers on this one because I seem to have molasses in my bones this year. I even took one of those five hour energy thingies and it did nothing for me! I think I can, I think I can, I think I can......

I think the pictures are beautiful! I can relate to the molasses in my bones this year---what is that about? It's like I'm dragging a couple of anvils or anchors or something large and heavy behind me all day long.
I go through those sluggish phases too. Sometimes I just feel like I'm suction cupped with lack of motivation. lol

What a beautiful place with the lights. I really love the pictures of Charlie. I really miss having a dog. I really want to get a miniature Schnauzer. Maybe I can talk my hubby into getting one.

The pictures of Skye in the Christmas tree are so adorable! I love how our puppies make us smile every day. I managed to catch a nasty head cold this weekend which has put me even farther behind on everything I need to get done for Christmas. Forget the energy drink - I'm making a hot toddie!

Our puppy Maggie decided she would take the ornaments Off our tree...so she ate a pinecone,but she is fine.Hopefully she learned!

Debby, that is a pretty poinsettia. I don't think I've seen that color before. Love the Christmas lights at the mission. This Chrismtas decorating is tiring, but at least you have the puppy and kitty to help!!! So cute. laurie
We drove by the Mission Inn when they were just starting to put up their decorations (early part of Novemember) and it looked impressive then; I can't imagine how beautiful it looks "all decked out". enjoyed looking at the pictures!

It is harder to get it done this year myself too. Got the tree up but having trouble getting out there doing the shopping, but it will all get done!

I mostly like red poinsettias, but I looked for a white or light pink one for my room. Instead, I found a beautiful fuschia one.
I love this new Poinsettia Debby...it is gorgeous!
But as always Skye won the show...she has such personality and so cute.

So I am working backwards in my 'catch-up' so I know that you got a lot done with all the presents and planning! I love all the lights! Our lights are covered in snow right now but they look soooo cool! <3
