So sorry you lost power! That really bites! We were sure we were going to lose ours and had the generator ready to go but it never did. Guess it was because we were ready this time. Love your tree and so glad you are all safe.
I'm with you on the malls ... I'm not a mall person either.
Hopefully you're all done losing power (it's NOT fun!).

We lost power for a bit yesterday, it was beyond frustrating!

Deb, how funny! I hardly ever go to the mall, either. Plus, we just have the regular old JCPenney, Dillards, and Sears...That picture of Skye with her toys is great! Bella hates her toys. She's a fairly boring dog. :( Has it been raining there? Hey, Happy New Year!

I can't stand not having power tha's why we had a generator installed which powers the whole house 5 seconds after power goes out. Looks like you made the best of it though. Love the presents!....Christine

We haven't lost power in forever. But going to the mall sounds like a fun way to pass the time!
Great Christmas gifts.
Sounsd like a good day, even though you didn't have power for most of it. I bought two new calendars yesterday and started working on them... I love having a blank slate to start the new year!
I love to go to the mall when you can just amble along with no particular mission. Sometimes you can find some real treasures that way!
When I go one vacation or a special trip, I always make a pic of the 'treasures' I bring home as I am unpacking my suitcases. Then I never forget what I brought home. Cause, you know...it gets kind of hard to remember everything...at least it is for me!
Looks like you are finding plenty to keep you busy when the power is out. I hte it when it goes on and off.
I tried to go to the mall on Tuesday and we couldn't even find a place to park. Literally every space was taken and there was bumper to bumper traffic trying to find a spot so we just left... I'm hoping to go first thing on Friday... I want a mac! ;-)

I avoid the mall most of the time, too, but found myself there frequently this holiday season because our 14-year-old granddaughter is spending so much time with us. My favorite thing to do while she was cruising the stores with her friends was to get a mocha coffee and sit in a busy area with the crowds flowing around me. Considering all the noise and people, it was pretty peaceful just sitting there thinking. My grandma used to call this "people watching" as in 'We went down to The Walmart and ate popcorn while we people watched.' =D
