.... that often make me the happiest. I don't know if I told you but I was thrilled when I went to the Post Office before Christmas to buy stamps for my cards. If you have known me for awhile you know I have a love for pinecones. See, look over in my left sidebar if you don't believe me. That has been on my blog since the beginning of time. They showed me the pinecone stamps and I was sold! Then to find out that they were a forever stamp just put me over the top with excitement.
So now when I go to the Post Office, which is usually at least twice a month, I now pick up a booklet each time. I never ever liked the bell so I have always bought whatever pretty ones they had but I always liked the concept of the forever stamp. So if there are any family members out there reading this you will always be seeing the pinecone stamps on your cards throughout the year and maybe forever!
I AM IN LOVE!
I AM IN LOVE!
I recently started making little markings on my most recent pinecones. At the bottom on one of the scales I have used fine markers to put initials on them. I did this recently when we got back from our trip to Chicago. I had brought home a pinecone from the Bohemian National Cemetery where some family members are and I wanted to make sure I would know which pinecone it was.
I got my new pinecone dishes at Target (2010) and the pinecone silverware was a Christmas gift from my husband the year before. I also have a pinecone Christmas gift that hasn't arrived yet. It's a doormat that my husband bought me from Cabelas which is on back order.

They are pretty stamps. I have seen them around for a while now. Happy New Year!
pinecones are pretty cool. and i love the stamps. i agree. much better than the {boring ole} bell.
Those are the little things in life that make you warm all over :-)
Love your silverware btw debby!!
How pretty! I'm sure glad to hear about the pine cone stamps. I never took to the bell ones either.
Living where there are pine trees everywhere, we've always had a great love for pinecones...well, except when we were children and had to go out and pick them up! :)
Love the stamps.
I love your colored pinecones!
I didn't realize you loved them.
Your white and red pine cones are very pretty.
You know, when I was a little girl I had a napkin ring at my grandma's house with tiny pine cones on it and I loved that.
I love the pine cone stuff in Cabelas. It is one of my favorite places to shop.
I really like those stamps, too. My kids tease me about picking up pinecones when I'm out and decorating with them.
Pretty dishes! CH loves Cabellas!
I'm glad to see the pinecones too, I didn't like the bells. Pinecones are pretty!
I haven't seen the pinecone stamps yet, but I don't like the bell ones either. Maybe that's why they changed to pine cones!
I never realized there were pine cone dishes and silverwear, but that's so neat! Thanks for sharing.
I feel like I live in pine cone hell--my yard is full of pine trees! I think pine cones are beautiful, but I hate keeping them picked up :)--of course it's good exercise...

Love it! We have a three tier basket near our front door that we keep pinecones in and this time of year they smell like 'Christmas' to me! Our only problem is little Sean loves them too and carries them all over the place. The good news is we can never forget a day of vaccuming I guess! ;-)

Pretty tablescape, Debby. I like all the pinecones. You asked where I keep my doll colleciton. We have a built in gun cabinet at the end of tha hall where our bookcases are (don't know if you remember seeing the bookcase). Anyway, we are not hunters so I took off the gun rack and had some glass shelves made and I transformed the cabinet to display my dolls. I kept the gun rack though, in case we sell our house in the future and the buyer wants them back....Christine
It really is the little things. I go over the moon for things like that, too! So glad the new pinecone stamps have made you smile over and over again.

Oh Debby, this may be a loooong comment!
My mother called tonight and told me that she was cleaning out a closet. She said that she found the last Christmas gift that her sister had given her (she passed away from Cancer). It was a set of dishes with a pinecone on them! She is going to give them to my oldest daughter when she gets married. I'm thrilled!
Also, when I was a little girl, my grandmother used a lot of pinecones in her Christmas Decorations. She would make Christmas trees out of the large cones and put mini satin balls on them for ornaments. She would also paint pinecones and glitter them to hang on her Christmas tree.
Needless to say, I love pinecones too!
I hope that you are doing well. You are a wonderful blogger and I am always blessed by you.
Awesome stamps - my MIL would love these.
Loved those stamps too and used them on my cards.....
Ilove these stamps too! And you are right.... it is the little things in life.
What neat things to collect. Im now going to be on the lookout to find you the funnest most unique pine cone i can!
Loved those stamps too. I used them on my cards too. We have some pretty big pinecones in Nevada.
I like pine cones and the forever stamps to. Take care Trish
I always wanted nice stamps to put on letters and cards, but for some reason we hardly ever get any nice ones for abroad. I live in a strange country!
I've never been a huge pinecone fan but I think you may have just changed that.
I think those pinecone stamps are way better than the bells. I'll have to ask for them. And those red and white pinecones are gorgeous.
I like the pinecone stamps.
Hoping your having a wonderful weekend!

Other than just picking pine cones up out in the yard or when we're camping, I've never collected them. You have a fabulous collection happening. Love the dishes and silverware. Saw a home design blog where she bought a bunch of ugly pine cone ornaments on an after Christmas sale, then covered them with the beautiful coppery brown Martha Stewart glitter and changed them completely. Now they're amazing and she got them for such a great deal!
I never really thought much about pinecones before but know seeing them through you, I can clearly see their beauty!! Love the red and white ones!
I just ran out of my bell stamps. So glad to hear they have some new ones. Love the pine cones. And I love your decorated table! Beautiful!
I like pine cones too, but I put peanut butter on them and dip them in birdseed and hang them out my window.
I so thought of you when I saw the pinecone ones when I bought my mother & child ones for Christmas.
I am loving your new look also!
