MISS SKYE B IS TWO TODAY

She is also in need of a haircut! She is a Cairn Terrier and they come in several different colors. Skye is considered Red Brindle w/a black mask. Her mask seems to be getting darker but that could just be because she needs that haircut. One thing about the Cairn is that in the first four years of their life they could completely change color. She could actually become darker, more like Toto. I don't believe she will change color but you never know. It certainly wouldn't change how I feel about her. She is a huge blessing in our lives.

Just before Christmas when we were having several days of rain there was this one morning when she just didn't want to get up. I think she slept until like 11:00 am that morning. She is not a get up and go outside type of dog. (our Westie Maggie was like this) If she doesn't have to go you can't make her. She only pees twice a day, maybe three and she will ring her bell when she wants to go.

So anyway this one morning she had the funniest bedhead going on. Didn't help that she needs that haircut! Anyway she sat up, I went and grabbed my camera taking a few shots. She turned around, looked outside and went back to sleep!

So after I wrote this post I was out in the kitchen telling my husband about it and I spotted the canvas I just received in the mail. I am going to post the picture that I put on the canvas. Skye would have been about two weeks from being 10 months old. Just look at the difference! She really isn't as dark as the above pictures show because I usually don't use a flash but her face/mask has really changed.
