1. Do you like your name? Were you named after someone? If you have children how did you settle on their names?
Yes I have always liked my name. No I was not named after anyone. My husband always liked the name Adam. I can't remember how I came up with Amber but I love the name especially with her middle name Rae.
2. How do you define success?
I am thinking of success as, in.a.job, and I think if you love your job then that is success. It is not always about making a lot of money, it's about being happy with your life.
3. Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
I don't watch either but I've seen them and I choose Jeopardy.
4. If you could own any single object that you don't have now, what would that object be?
A nice cabin in the mountains.
5. What is something that inspires you?
The fact that there is always Hope!
6. Meatloaf-yea or nay? If its a yea how do you make yours?
Well growing up it was a nay, I never liked when my mother made it. As an adult it's a yea and one of my families favorites. I use the recipe from Fannie Farmer. I love the cookbook, it has always been my go to cookbook and I love to give it as a shower gift.
7. Which is more admirable-the ability to organize and be methodical or the ability to adapt and make do?
Well I looked up methodical to make sure I knew what it meant. But the opposite of methodical is messy. So here is what I think, having the ability to adapt in all situations, to me, is admirable.

Those are great questions! Love your answers! I've never heard of the Fannie Farmer cookbook but then I'm not exactly what you would call a cooking queen! :)

1. Do you like your name? Were you named after someone? If you have children how did you settle on their names?
My biological father looked outside durin the sunrise and though of Crystal Dawn the day I was born so thats how I got my name.
I loved the name Hailey because my mom used to watch a soap opera with that lady that is on the regis and kelly show, her name was Hailey on it, so when I was pregnant with her I had our son Justin decide on Hailey or Hannah and he picked Hailey.
2. How do you define success?
I WOULD HAVE TO GO WITH YOUR ANSWER TOO.
I am thinking of success as, in.a.job, and I think if you love your job then that is success. It is not always about making a lot of money, it's about being happy with your life.
3. Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?
NEITHER, LETS READ INSTEAD!
4. If you could own any single object that you don't have now, what would that object be?
You may comevisit me here in Colorado and I will take you to our family cabin. We could have lost it during the hayman fire, there was a spark that must have landed on the 2nd floor deck the size of a coffee cup bottom but it went out. we ended up donating some of our land to the Florissent city fire dept. to have a fire station right up there in the mountains. ok so what I want right now that I dont have, a brain without a chemical imbalance
5. What is something that inspires you?
My daughter
6. Meatloaf-yea or nay? Yea! with a ton of ketchup cooked on the top!
my mom would put huge sliced green bell peppers in it and I hated that.
7. Which is more admirable-the ability to organize and be methodical or the ability to adapt and make do?
I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE AGAIN
having the ability to adapt in all situations, to me, is admirable.

I wonder if meatloaf is an American thing?
I agree with your idea of success. And a cabin in the mountains would be bliss. I like meatloaf, too, but not so much when I was a kid either!
And Happy birthday to your MIL ;)
Congrats on your win on my blog.. I got your address. Thank you.. Have a great day..
I do not care for meatloaf any more.. I love to organize if it is not done that way then it stay a mess. Happy Birthday to your Mother in law..

my random thought..happy birthday and this was fun!
I think you and I have a similar definition of successful. Being happy with what you are doing is key to me.
I'll have to print that meatloaf recipe off and try it! I have all of the ingredients :)
I think of you each time I ride my bike. Each time I ride, it gets easier.
a cabin sounds fab.
Do I like my name? Yes, I do. HOWEVER...most folks pronounce it wrong and I correct them. My name is TONJA...and it is pronounced like it is spelled...TON-JA...sounding the 'J'. Most folks want to change it to a 'Y'.
I never liked my name growing up but now, I don't give it any thought at all...
a cabin in the mountains--I'd like one too please!
Meatloaf- love it, can't make it worth squat!
Well now I'm going to have to investigate that cookbook, you know!
YEAH a new recipe, I saved it and it follows Rick's can't we just have meat and potatoes dinner :)
Happy Birthday to MIL :)
Debby, I love your definition of success, and I agree that being able to adapt is admirable. We call our trailer at hunting camp our cabin in the woods (we also call it our cabinet in the woods!) laurie
A cabin in the mountains. Now I could love that too.
Happy Birthday to your mother-in-law.
I'm with you on the cabin in the woods, and I'm off to check out the cookbook -- sounds awesome!
:-)
Ohhhh Debby, I sooo dislike my 1st name and it took me a long time to get use to my middle name ... But its alos how I got my Dena name now.. So its all good...
Thanks for the notes and prayers Sis....
Blessings and Love from Our Father God above~~~
Hugs Dena
I'm going to check out the Fannie Farmer cookbook on your recommendation! I'm in a cooking slump.
And you're totally right, success is about being happy with what you have. I just read something similar today (in a cookbook of all places!) so this must be a message I was meant to receive today :)
All great answers but now, of course, all I can think of is making a meat loaf ... yum!
Very interesting - my middle name is Rae, too! :) I never liked the name growing up, but I like it now.
I love meatloaf, but my mother never made it when I was growing up so didn't have an aversion to it :)
Kristin - The Goat
I like my names - I was named after my father's two sisters. And when I got divorced I was happy to return to my original last name and will never change it again.
