1. What is something about living in this country that you value? 'This country' is whatever country you call home.
The freedom to be whoever you want to be.
2. What is a favorite something you own that is red, white, and/or blue?
A pair of converse shoes.
3. Do you fly a flag at your house on patriotic holidays?
I will often put out little ones in the front yard.
4. What ingredients do you think should be included in a great picnic basket?
Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, pickles, potato salad, potato chips, watermelon, a great cake and condiments.
5. What is one interesting piece of trivia you know? Interesting is of course a relative term.
Working in a Hallmark store for many years we would have people come in asking for an ornament they saw at someones house the Christmas before thinking we would have it. Each ornament at Hallmark is new each year. If they are ever duplicated they are done in a repaint color and that is usually done several years later.
6. Wednesday, May 24th is National Escargot day...have you ever tried them? Eww or ooh?
No and eww!
7. What is one thing you know for sure?
That I will pass away one day and go to Heaven.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
These are busy times for me. I may not be visiting as much as I normally do and reading every single post but I will try my hardest to be over. I have got to get some things done around my house that I have been putting off for well over a year now. I can't give my blogging six+ hours a day like I normally do. I just can't go on vacation knowing these things are in such disarray! ((HUGS FOR UNDERSTANDING))

6+ hours! That is wonderful but no wonder you need some time off. Wow!
I have never tried escargot either...and I have no desire to do so!
I love your answer to 'what you know for sure'....isn't that the best thing in the world to know!
YUP we will meet in Heaven and it will be great! OK now get off the computer and get to what you need to get done.
Good luck with your projects. When I travel I must come home to an orderly house. Especially when there will be jet lag to cope with.
I also have to come home to my house being just so. It's no fun to return to a ton of housework to do.

I know what you mean about taking some time off from blogging. I've slowed down, too, with the wedding just a month away. We can get caught up later.

Oh Deb...I only read about 4th blog of yours but thats only because you are an overachiever and blog everyday! I do love seeing your comments though and absolutely adore that Logan has a lifetime watcher whom we have never met. Maybe we can come to your neck of the woods for vaca next year. Speaking of, kudos to you! We are leaving next week for 5 days and all I can think is...come on Weds! Maybe I will be more worried about the house when we get back. LOL! Yeah right!
Your fave picnic foods are mine too! The traditional favorites. :)
I like putting those little flags out also.
You know SO much about all things Hallmark!
Snails? ICK!
6+ hours a day? I don't know how you get anything done at all.
That was interesting to learn about Hallmark. I had no idea.
Get your housework done, get yourself ready for your trip, don't worry about your blogging friends - we know you're up to your eyeballs in plans and preparations!
I love escargot, but anything slathered in garlic and warm butter is going to taste great LOL
love what is in your picnic basket!! I can't imagine spending six hours blogging! I do think it is good to get those things done that need to get done before you go on your trip! that was interesting trivia about the Hallmark ornaments. I'm typing this comment ten minutes before the end of AI here on the west coast, anxiously waiting who will win :)

Thanks for coming by to visit since I have MIA for so long. I always enjoy seeing your name pop up. My husband worked at Hallmark for 36 and we have quite a collection of ornaments.
I'm with you on the escargot- Eww!
I should be busy too but I'm sitting right here reading blogs. Please send me some of your motivation!
Take me on your picnic...hamburgers are my favorites.
We all get those busy times. Take time out to do what you need to and when you are on vacation, you will have that peace of knowing you have things taken care of.
6+ hours of blogging per day?? Woman, that's just craaazy! I was wondering there for a while how you managed to juggle so many blogs with your real life, LOL!
Vacation takes priority.
Heck, I'm not on vacation and blogging has taken a back burner just because finally it's nice outside - so go and enjoy, do what you have to do - we'll wait for your return!!
