I'm with on the new look for google reader. Not a fan. It looks so color-less and drab! I go through spurts with cooking and baking, but definitely the fall brings it out more!
The new Reader doesn't bug me too much. I don't see any significant changes, so I'm wondering why bother? But because there aren't significant changes, I don't know that I'll have too much trouble adapting.
We didn't have very many trick or treaters, and unfortunately DH bought our candy ... and bought candy we like! :-( It's going to go to work with me tomorrow! ha!
Wow, at least you can use your washer again!! I hate those unexpected breakdowns and charges, too. Good for you on baking and cooking again... I need to get motivated to do the same!
Wow, I think you could buy a new washing machine for the cost of the repair! But I'm sure it must be a top of the line one that you have to "deserve" such a costly repair! Glad you had fun at the Apple Orchards; I can smell the pies you'll be cooking down here already!!
So glad your washer is fixed as it is so hard to be without one. I think we all go through spurts where we aren't motivated to cook and bake. I used to read cookbooks when I hit those times. Now you can just do the computer.
I hate having to fix things that should last 30 years or more! Glad you can do laundry. We had a huge snow storm and are still without power (found a hot spot for a minute and wanted to see what you were up to) after more than 66 hours later now!! I want my power back please.
Oh, man!!! I would have just gone to Sears and fetched me a new washer for that much $$$$ Don't you just love Pinterest? I haven't figured it all out yet but I love looking and pinning!
If I had a bunch of apples, I would make apple sauce and freeze most of it. I like pear sauce and apple sauce and use them on the wheat free pancakes. I also have some strawberries I froze and use some of them with apple sauce as a dessert. Glad you are getting your cooking joy back.
Wow, I was thinking a new washing machine would be almost cheaper! But I'm glad for you that it's fixed because I can't imagine a day without washing clothes! :) That was a joke!
Ah... Pumpkins and apples! Both great for pies!!! I am afraid to try pinterest I don't need any more time suckers in my life at the moment... I need more sleep! ;-)
Oh I hate spending money on appliance repairs, etc. There are so many more fun things I'd like to use that money for. You made me want an applie pie. My mouth is watering. laurie
Homemade apple pie...yum! I have never made a pie with Rome Beauty apples, it would be interesting to taste the difference. My mother and grandmother always used a mixture of Mac and Cortlands, it never occurred to me that I could try a different kind of apple...thanks for the great idea!
Can't wait for Skye pictures!
I'm glad you got your washer fixed sooner than later. It's always so difficult when a washer is broken.
I've been away for the last couple of days and hadn't realized that my reader had changed until I read your post and hopped over to check it out. I am not a fan of certain changes. My eyes and brain are used to how it used to be.

Oh, no, I haven't checked my reader yet today! Change is not always good...
I've noticed that you've pinned a lot of yummy recipes on Pinterest! It's a great resource for finding new things!

Just glad all is well now with your washer...can't wait to see the pictures!
I lost my urge to cook about 10 years ago and I'm NOT looking really hard for it. Honeybunny is getting to be quiet the chef ;-)
I love cooking for special occasions, but every day cooking bores me to tears! Glad you reignited your love of cooking again.
Blessings, Joanne

did skye dress up?! looking forward to the pumpkin pic!
Houses are money pits, that's for sure.
And I do NOT care for the new reader. Where's the "mark all as read" button?
Oh, never mind, it has magically appeared. Still don't like the looks of the reader, though.

Looking forward to seeing your pumpkin!
We carved pumkins here too.

Can't wait to see pics.
When one thing goes it starts an avalanche...hopefully not this time!
I have joined Pinterest Now I just have to go over there and do it. Every one seems to be loving it.
And WHY can't they leave things alone with blogger? I agree.
Now there are 6 more backgrounds you can pick out from blogger.

I go threw that cooking thing too, lately I have been on a kick ... lol
What a pain in the butt on the washer :(. Rick's car just gave me a knot in the stomach today, got a quote for $700 to fix it :(.
It's funny, I had almost forgotten that Google Reader updated. Ahh, I just go with the flow. The washing machine repair was a cheap one - Good job!!
