1. Do you send Christmas cards? If so about how many will you send this year? How do you display the cards you receive? Or don't you? (gasp!)
Yes I do send out cards. I will mail out around 65 cards. I have two card holders that hang on the wall to display my cards. I love cards, I love sending cards, I love receiving cards. This is how it has always been and always will be for me! (I use to mail out close to 100 cards but my list has gone down. My father who is 88 still sends out close to 100 cards!)
2. When do kids become adults?
I think that when they move out and live on their own. That doesn't mean they don't still need us or do some dumb things! In the eyes of a parent they are always our babies.
3. Does your 'beauty regimen' change with the seasons?
I would have to say no to this but mainly because I am in Southern California and we tend to be dry year round. I always moisturize.
4. What's something you like to eat that might cause another person to turn up their nose?
I know that I haven't opened a can of sauerkraut in the house in a long time because it makes our son-in-law sick. He can't stand the smell.
5. Gloves or mittens?
Sorry Joyce but I have to say both! Not that I use them much her in California.
6. What's the longest queue you've ever been in? Was it worth it? Queue=line but doesn't queue sound nicer?
Yes it does sound nice and I'm glad your told us what it means. I know that two years ago we waited in line for a ride at Disneyland for over 2 1/2 hours. Right now I can't think of anything else. I am not one of those people who will camp out all night to get something.
7. Besides Christmas, what is one thing you are looking forward to in the month of December?
Going to see Wicked on the 11th and an office party/dinner on the 17th.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Life, as I am sure most of you will agree, is suddenly getting busy for me because of Christmas coming in 25 days starting tomorrow! So what does that mean? I will be very behind in my reading of posts but I will be around as often as I can so don't give up on me. Not reading posts yesterday my reader said 464 and I won't be home much today so it will be saying 1000+. (of course I only read about 20% of what is in my reader)

With Chris being out of work, I thought long and hard about not sending cards out this year, but I won a Shutterfly giveaway, so I can't resist! It's one tradition I would hate to give up!
We send out cards as well but not as many as we did once. We are really pretty set for Christmas this year. Now go get ready for the season.
Yes, no matter how old our kiddos are, they're still our babies. ;-)
I LOVE your background/header!
Deb - you are going to love the play Wicked - really deep - and makes you think - not all things are like they appear. Can't wait to hear how you like it.

We usually do Christmas cards, but they might be last minute this year, since the kids' pics are being taken Friday and it'll be a couple weeks before they are in to send in the cards :-/
I have to agree with your son-law-law about the sauerkraut, but it doesn't stop my husband from eating it-lol!
I like gloves over mittens because you can use your fingers :-)
I think we're all super busy this time of year and blogging/visiting/commenting may take second or even third place on our to-do list....I'll just be happy with you no matter when you visit.
I haven't even started my list yet.
Mama Bear
Have you already started addressing your Christmas cards? I haven't yet. Usually I have all my cards ready to mail by Thanksgiving.
When I eat liver at home, I eat it by myself. I have only known one other person to enjoy liver like I do. But when I eat at the senior center, there are plenty of senior friends who like liver too. Yes!
I wear mittens when I go out back each morning to bring the water bowl inside and put hot water in it to break the ice. I make sure the birds and critters have water, so a few times a day I go out and pour hot water on the ice forming on top. But in the morning it is frozen solid. I have to wear gloves when I get in the car, the steering wheel is just too cold.
I know this will be a busy month for you. Enjoy it all even the hectic times. Hugs to you.
We send cards out with a picture of just us....since we can't get all our kids together at once we can't do a family picture.
I never change my makeup routine either. Sometimes I get a wild hair and change makeup brands, but I usually go back to the same old thing. I did have my eyeliner tattooed many years ago and that's the best thing I could have ever done because I swim a lot in the summer and I always have eyeliner on. It hurt like everything though! :)
You are so right about the busy stuff! I have so much to do and I just don't seem to know where to start!
I am sooo jealous that you're going to see Wicked! Enjoy yourself, I'm sure it's going to be fabulous!
enjoy wicked.. I loved it!!
enjoy ur month and don't worry about keeping up with reading blogs! everyone is busy and u have to enjoy family time!
I hope you enjoy Wicked. Please come back and tell us all about it. I really hope to see this some day.
We all will be getting a little busier now :) Enjoy Wicked.
I send out cards too. A lot of people think it's disgusting that I put ketchup on my scrambled eggs. I would turn my nose up at your sauerkraut! LOL
I like your holiday blog background! I love sauerkraut...so far today I've found myself saying I like all the various odd foods posted. Hmmm....
Have fun at Wicked-it's one of my all time faves!
Enjoyed your answers! Wow I love it that your dad is still sending that many Christmas cards out. That is so cool! This is a busy time of year but actually this whole year has been that way!
until next time... nel
Good for your dad sending out those many cards at his age! I'm sure it is a labor of love and I bet he enjoys seeing the cards he receives back! Your 65 is still quite a few too!
Lots to look forward to this month! Christmas will be here before we know it! Enjoy the preparation, blogs will be here in the new year!
betty
I've heard good things about "Wicked". I wonder if the book should be read first? Have you read it?
I like sending out cards, but I LOVE receiving them :) It is so neat to go to the mailbox and see all the cards that we received that day!
I always include a picture of either the girls or our entire family in our card. This year, I am sending a family pic, and it only took 60 tries to get just the right shot ;)
I love sauerkraut but I can see where it would make someone sick.
Dang I'm jealous. I want to see Wicked. Looks phenomenal
HI Debby...Going to see wicked. Heard it's fabulous....and I'm with your son in law about saurkraut. Yuck. Have a fabulous day out there. Always love reading your answers
I never send out christmas cards.... Enjoy wicked. I loved it!
Glad to hear someone else lets their reader stack up till they can't possibly catch up. I feel guilty sometimes that I don't make the rounds as often as I should (or would like) but life's just too busy.
Hope you have a great December and a Merry Christmas!
I didn't send out cards last year.
I love mittens.
I can't believe Chistmas is around the corner....heck it's right next door!
Oh I always have such good intentions when it comes to Christmas cards but I'm so bad about it! And you not needing mitts just makes me plain jealous! Wore mine today.
If I were to take the French meaning for queue (traffic jam) it would be about three hours to move about 1 km to get to the train to get to London. Unfortunately I never made it and it took me a further forty minutes to get off the motorway, turn around and head back home (only a nine hour drive with fifty people in the back...)
i love wicked
I love sending and receiving cards, which reminds me I need to get moving. Just picked up our family Christmas pictures today so can get writing and stuffing. My FIL use to make this meat stuff, gosh it was nasty, I can't even remember the name but the stuff was smelly and sickened me. My reader has been at 1,000+ for months. After the holidays I'll be able to visit regularly again, so darn busy with blogging stuff.
