1. Lake Superior University has once again published a list of words/phrases they think should be banished from the Queen's English in 2012- amazing, baby bump, shared sacrifice, occupy, blowback, man cave, the new normal, pet parent, win the future, trickeration, ginormous, and thank you in advance. Which of these words/phrases would you most like to see banished from everyday speech and why?
Since I don't have a clue what trickeration and blowback mean I will pick those.
2. Are you easily embarrassed?
I know I use to be but I think I can accept my mistakes/blunders better now. Nobody is perfect!
3. What is your go-to snack?
Depends what we have in the house at the time. Lately its been nuts.
4. Have you ever been to Washington D.C.? If not do you have any desire to go? What site/attraction would you most want to see in that city? If you have been, what's your favorite site/attraction?
No but it is one of my dream spots. I want to see it all. Every memorial and several of the museums.
5. sit ups-planks-lunges-squats...which do you hate the least?
None of the above.
6. What's a small act of kindness you were shown that you've never forgotten?
Well when I was a teenager and we had a major snowstorm, a few of my girlfriends and I decided we wanted to go to Barones Pizza (THE BEST). We were not at the age of driving yet so we decided to hitchhike. A very nice man picked us up and give us a very big warning about never ever doing this again. How you never know who might pick you up and it's way to dangerous.
7. Have you ever been a blood donor?
Yes, I did it regularly for years. I haven't done it in at least 10 years.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Steps to taking down Christmas decorations:
Step one: Start gathering miscellaneous items from around the house and put them on the dining room table. (started this) Also wash all throws and table cloths. (doing)
Step two: Have husband get down all the necessary bins/boxes and be thankful you didn't put out the other 6 bins of Christmas. (done)
Step three: Get a shot of ambition! I am ready, it's time.
Didn't feel well on Monday when I had plans to work on this. Also didn't feel well on Tuesday, didn't even go to bowling. So pray that today is the day. You are welcome to cheer me on ..... Go Debby, Go Debby, Go Debby!

You were lucky that a nice man picked you up! It was safer back then, I wish it was safe now for our grand kids. Hope you feel better soon and get those decorations all put away.
You would love Washington, DC! Been there a few times myself. My favorite is Arlington National Cemetary..takes your breath away.
Go Debby, go Debby, go Debby! Sure hope you're feeling better today ... and that you get your decorations down. ;-)
D.C. rocks. Love your word elimination choices...they were mine too!
First I will cheer Feel Better! (then you can tackle all those decorations!! LOL)
Now off to find some nuts...power of suggestion:)
Nearly all the 'un-decorating' is done here. And it's a good thing because now I am sick. UGH.
Very close to the same thing happened to me and a cousin when we hitchhiked our one and only time!
I was also a blood donor for years, had to stop due to so much scar tissue though. Almonds are my go-to-snack yum!
Your home looks so beautiful you should have tour groups!
I'm serious!
Trickeration? I don't like baby bump.
I never hitch hiked, but I did a lot of dumb stuff that would get a person killed these days.....dumb stuff!
You sound very organized with your dismantling of the Christmas stuff. So glad that's done!
Glad you're feeling better!
I'm in DC at the moment so I highly recommend. Good luck with the Christmas undo-my least favorite job!
Trickeration is a word I invented years ago. I just never knew others would steal it and overuse it. Darn it, I'll just have to come up with a new word.
I've never heard the work Trickeration either and I still don't know what it means.
Good luck putting everything away, Debby....Christine
I think I hate sit-ups the least because you get to lay down in between them.
Good luck taking down your decorations!
Yay, Debby! You can do this Christmas takedown. You CAN!
I've been enjoying almonds a lot lately!
Go Debby go!!!!
I'd love to go to DC also.
Go Debby, Go Debby! You can do it! Hope you are feeling better soon.
I just finished putting away the last odds and ends yesterday...I'm so glad to be finished. Yay!
A bloggers trip to Washington...hum, sounds interesting, doesn't it?
Well it's now night time...did you get the decorations down? You know if not, it's no problem, they'll still be there tomorrow. lol
Totally agree on #5.
Have a great one and I hope you are feeling better. Oh and I like your background. Very colorful.
Go DEBBY GO!!!!
Or you might have to use trickernation in a sentence.
Ya, always at the end of the holiday season I'm glad I didn't put everything up I wanted to.
Go Debby, Go Debby, Feel Better, Feel Better!!! :)
I love nuts! Bane of my diet, but I love them!
Well you were lucky he was a good man - don't ride with strangers and don't hitchhike!
I like nuts - anything but walnuts.
Do you know what planking is?
And I don't get that embarrassed any more either - some things old age is good for!
Love,
sandie
I hope you were able to get to putting your decorations away. Must be a TON of work. I don't even like doing the little bit we have-lol!
Since I have always Ben a klutz, I don't embarass easily
