I have had such a craving for a restaurant steak for weeks now so Saturday Mark and I went to Claim Jumper. In case you didn't know they have one of the best Filet Mignons. So we shared a Cobb Salad, each had our filets with green beans + grilled veggies and had them wrap up the garlic cheese toast to take home for the kids. I also had a delicious glass of Pinot Noir.
Adam and Tristen made it home safely from Europe. I had my days mixed up so when I got a text from Adam that they were home I was so surprised. Actually it was kind of awesome knowing he was home without the normal worrying all day to hear from them!
When I blog I am in my office, often on the sofa with a cable premium channel on. Well let me tell you what a pleasure it is to hit one or two of those great days when so many great movies are on that you just want to do the happy dance! I'm talking about Splash, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, My Cousin Vinny, Moonstruck, Hanging Up, Terms of Endearment, Ever After and Beatlejuice~Beatlejuice~Beatlejuice! I was on a movie overload.
So even though Mark did not bring me home a gift from Europe :( we did receive a very nice book on Worcester, UK from Phil's mom. That is one of the towns we stayed in last summer and it was charming. Mark did have the opportunity to see Hampton Court Palace, Stonehenge and Warwick Castle on the weekends.
So I was watching The Witches of Oz the other day (which I just couldn't get into) and in the beginning of the movie Dorothy Gale is packing a suitcase. OMG was I shocked to see my suitcase that I received as a wedding shower gift 40 years ago. We sold this suitcase at a garage sale six years ago when we moved. Could it be mine? We do live in Southern California!
Here is some wonderful, awesome and amazing information. In February my doctor added Spiriva to my other medications for my COPD. He said that they have found great results when combined with Advair which I have been on for two years. OMG!!!!! Remember my post about Primatene Mist being discontinued December 31, 2011, that I had stocked up on it because for at least 35 years it has been the only rescue inhaler that works for me. Well guess what? I would normally use Primatene Mist anywhere from 8 to 12 times a day. I can now tell you that I don't even use it that often in a week! I can go days without reaching for it. I am still in total shock over this. I may just be able to live a more normal life then I have been living for years now. All Praise Be To God!
So Dylan's (SIL) boss got an email about not giving your dog products made in China. It said that many dogs have gotten ill from products manufactured there. So I tossed out two of Skye's favorites (Sweet Potato Fries and what I call Veggie Burgers) plus several others. Then I went to Pet Smart to do some research on finding products made in the USA. So we found several new ones that she likes. They are all natural products also. We can still give her a sweet potato treat but it's in a freeze dried form. FYI

Lots of great little bits and peices!!
I think I watched Witches of Oz a while ago (I could be mistaken), but if I did, I liked it a great deal. But I could be mistaken with some other series, because lately both Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz have had several modern updates made.
How crazy would it be if that was your suitcase?!?
That's great about the medicine!
You are still doing so wonderful on your low carb foods. Glad the kids got home safe from Europe. Thanks for the tips on the dog food from China - I did not know that. Glad your COPD is better!
Love, sandie
Thanks Debby about the info with dogs and stuff from China; I'll have to check that out with Koda's stuff.
Totally not healthy for you, but at Claim Jumpers I like the loaded potato, LOL. I'll have to see if we have one down here to try out their steaks.
Yea that the meds are working in combination to help you breathe better!
betty
Glad that new medicine is working praise the Lord!
I didn;t know that about the dog treats :(
thank you for letting me know.
I loved reading this! Thanks for the heads up on the dog treats. I will start reading labels now! Have a great weekend
Yeah about your medication working. That is good new Debby. We use to give our dog a lot of treats. I know they had stuff in them from China. Looking back now I know that is what made our dog have liver problems. We ended up only feeding him Blue dog food. He did really well on it. I wish we had started him off on it.
We used to have a Claim Jumper by us, and we loved it! They had the best kids' meals...but it closed not long after it opened. I'm not sure why!
That whole China and the pet products has been an issue for several years now. We are careful with Tucker's food and treats too. No gift from Europe? WHAT?! Send him back for it. LOL
good to know your medicine is helping! and what interesting information about China dog food! I didn't know anything about it. thank you for your thoughts for me today. i appreciate having you as a blogging friend. Happy friday!!
Oh how I love fragments!!! So stuffed with a hodgepodge of info!
I love movies too. I laugh, my hairs so fine when I wake up without hairspray I look like Beatlejuice! Heeheehhee!!!
Why am I laughin'...it's not a pretty sight!
God bless ya and have yourself a blissful kinda weekend!!! :o)
I have never heard of that movie...I will have to look for it. wouldn't it be awesome if that was your suitcase? Have a great weekend!
Blessings, Joanne
Fisherhubby makes such great steaks on the grill that I rarely crave a restaurant one. Good steak is THE BEST.
That's wonderful your new medicine really works. I'm on medication for bones that I don't think does anything--my bone test came out worse after being on this medication for a year and a half.
Cool suitcase - I'd just assume it was my old one and go with that. :-)
And YAY! on the meds working so well for you. That's just fantastic.
So happy the mess are working for you that is awesome
Well crud I missed a post!
Yeah I'm glad they made it back safe and early so you didn't have to worry!
