I love answering questions, don't you?
Head on over, click on the button and join in the fun!
I was so busy yesterday, as you will see in my random, that I totally forgot to do my Wednesday Hodgepodge. That's a first for me, I am always prepared in advance as soon as Joyce posts the questions.
1. What's the last job you did that required elbow grease?
When I cleaned the shower.
2. March Madness, aka the men's Division I basketball championship, is nearing an end. What sort of 'madness' has your house seen this month?
No madness here right now!
3. What's your favorite shop for browsing?
Lately it's been Target. I often stop on Tuesday after bowling. But favorite, favorite would be IKEA. Now if I am browsing on the internet it is often Coldwater Creek.
4. Is there ever a time when giving up makes sense?
I want to say yes, especially when you have tried to help someone who just doesn't want to help themselves. Now that answer would come from a third party view who isn't emotional involved. When the person is someone you love I believe it is impossible to give up on them.
5. What's a song you love that contains the name of a city, state or country in its title?
"My Kind of Town (Chicago is)" by Frank Sinatra 1964 and I agree!
6. When did you first begin using a computer?
It was about 16 years ago on a home computer. (back when you could talk to a human and they would help you with internet issues. They would see your screen on their screen)
7. Did you buy girl scout cookies this year? What's your favorite?
My favorite are Do-Si-Dos Peanut Butter Sandwiches. I did by some cookies this year but are not eating any because of my diet. I did not buy Do-Si-Dos!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Those who know me know that I normally go out of the house on Tuesday because of bowling, otherwise I am pretty much home bond. I try to make the most of the day running errands. Since one of our movie theatres has a $5. Tuesday I have been tying to go see a movie on Tuesday. Well I outdid myself yesterday.
I left the house at 8:15am to get to bowling by 9:00. After bowling I stopped at Stein Mart to check something out that my MIL saw in her Houston store that she thought I would look good in. Stopped at the P.O. for stamps and went to have my every 4-6 week pedicure. Then I went to Walmart for some items that I needed and quickly rushed home to put the cold items away. Said hi/bye to Dylan and the dogs rushing to make a a 2:45 movie.(Gone with Amanda Seyfried) Stopped at Michael's after the movie because I knew it was the one place that usually had Sixlets which I needed for an Easter Krispies Bar. Ran home, waited for Mark and off we went to see The Artist! As you know I l.o.v.e.d the movie before the Oscars and Mark thought it would be fun to see it on the big screen since they brought it back. (He loved it) Home at 9:00pm. How's that for a full day?

Wow, you had a very busy day!
Love all your answers on hodgepodge wednesday!
That is a very full day, but sounds very fun. I love Ikea...all those gadgets and organizational things, and pretty cheap. However, Target is my Waterloo...can't go in there without spending too much.
I hope you have many more fun days like Tuesday!!
Whew...I'm exhausted after reading about your day! However, sure sounds like you had FUN! That's what it's all about! I love Target and IKEA, too...I could go on a shopping frenzy in those places!
I'm tired just reading about your day! Man you were busy! No wonder you stay home the rest of the week He...he :)
I totaly agree with you on number 4.I would have to say you had a great Tuesday.
Your post reminded me that I didn't get any Girl Scout cookies this year. (Samoas are my personal have.) Usually a neighbor girl takes our order, but she didn't come over this year : ( maybe she's not in Girls Scouts any more . . . I will have to rectify this oversight immediately!
I agree - when you try to help someone and give them a million suggestions and they give you a million and one reasons why it can't work!!!!
Also do you buy clothes at Cold Water Creek via the Internet?
Love, sandie
Your post made me so tired. I love that Frank Sinatra song too. I love to sing it when I am vacuuming. Why? I have no clue.
Is The Artist a good movie? I had heard that it was. Maybe I'll check it out on Redbox.
That really was a full day! I had a day out with my BFF on Tuesday. DoodleBug says we have the $5 movies on Tuesday here too but I haven't been yet. No girl scouts in our neighborhood right now so I was safe! LOL
Whew! You've been busy, Debby. I don't feel the usual humidity here yet, I thought it's pretty pleasant. I can't wait to see your Easter table....Christine
I to love Target!
Awesomely busy day! 2 movies? I've done an afternoon and evening baseball game at minor league parks that were an hour away and that was awesome too - A double your passion day is always great! Add the pedi and well... We should all have days like that once in a while! :)
Sounds like a great day! I haven't seen the artist but would love to! Need to catch up on movie watching in the summer usually! <3
You did have a full Tuesday! I love those $5 movies; they do them here Tuesday/Sundays at some theaters (yet we haven't been to one LOL, but I like the concept :)
I get around eating GS cookies; I donate the box to the troops, so its a win-win situation, the girls get the sales, the troops get the cookies and we are spared the calories :)
betty
I love the girl scout cookie question! Do so dos are delicious because I love peanut butter. This year I bought Savannah Smiles though because I love new things!
I haven't eaten any Girl Scout cookies this year either! We had about 3200 boxes in our house when they were first delivered and now they are almost all gone. They sure helped my troop even though they were tons of work.
Sandy
Love it all! Especially those Do-Si-Dos. Now I have a craving. :)
Debby I just have to say you are such a sweetheart. Thanks for all you do for others
I love full days, not too full, but just right full. I'm definitely one that is up and out by 8:00 - 8:15 everyday. Go run errands or anything else I have to do and then I'm "free" the rest of the day. Sounds like you had not only a full day but a fun day as well. Happy weekend!
