1. In what way are you your own worst enemy?
Just the way my mind works, believe me I can dream up some unbelievable adventures in my head. They are not usually happy ones and then I stress about them.
2. Jacques Cousteau's birthday was
Monday, June 11th...ever been scuba diving? Is that something
you'd like to try? What's your favorite 'under the sea' creature?
No I have never been and am not interested in trying it but I know it would be an amazing experience. With my breathing issues most of my life it kinda scares me. I am going to say Sand Dollar because they are living in the sea.
3. On a scale of 1-10, how comfortable are you in and around the water?
(1=not at all, 10=very) Do you know how to swim and if so how and when did you
learn?
I enjoy the water, I would say I am a 9 as long as I'm real close to shore or in a pool. I am sure I learned as a child but don't remember. I know I didn't take lessons like kids do today!
4. What's something you do to motivate yourself to tick an item off your
to-do list?
I am looking forward to reading every ones answers because this would be helpful to me :) Only thing that really motivates me is company coming!
5. What makes a good neighbor? Are you a good neighbor?
Well keeping their grounds beautiful is important to me. I also think your neighbor should respect your privacy and also be aware of things around your house. I would hope that they would call the police if they saw something suspicious going on. They should be respectful when it comes to loud late night parties. It really doesn't happen here but we did have a group of young men living next to us for about a year but they were kind enough to come to our door and tell us in advance.
I assume we are good neighbors. I am always the one who brings each surrounding house Christmas treats. We take good care of our property and are never loud. Our sweet neighbors east of us were so kind as we were both trying to get rid of the gophers. They would not put poison into their gopher holes because they were afraid that the gopher may take it into our yards, they were concerned for the dogs. Isn't that sweet? Now that's a good neighbor.

I load it almost 99% of the time. Yes there is a right way!

You see the safe fireworks stands going up and also all the watermelons in the stores. Of course all the sales on Hot Dogs is also a tip off!

A year ago, at this time, I was in Europe enjoying my three week vacation. Mark of course was on a work trip so I did a lot of touring by myself. It was exhilarating to say the least! I never had dreams of going to Europe one day yet all I dream about now is going back!

I can agree with #1.
I don't usually need a to-do list to get things done ... but that doesn't mean I always do what needs to be done. Too often, I give the housecleaning a lick and a promise, holding off the good cleaning until it's time for company to come. ha!
I have the worst neighbors on the right side of me. Disrespectful, loud, and cops always there. Has it really been a year since you went to Europe? Time sure does fly. For my to-do list, I just do them. No real way I just know laundry must be done daily, but things should be done that never get done (like closets) lol
Wow! I can't believe it's been a year! Time flies as I always say! I am really motivated by the thought of company......I start seeing my home through their eyes and get to work. Most of the time though, I clean and clean and then company messes up! Shhhhh......don't tell them!
We have great neighbors and that is one of the reasons we stay in our neighborhood. Our next door neighbors say that if we move, they're going with us!
Company! I totally forgot about that but YES, I have even invited someone over just to get the house clean. How or how did I forget that one! Oh well, it was not on my list I guess.

I'll share my recipe if you share yours. I'm always looking for ways to use the Zucchini. I like it raw, but we have way too much for that to be the only way. I've frozen some for quiche and bread in the winter.

My mind working is my own worst enemy too, especially late at night when son isn't home and I'm wondering what he's up to (mind you he's 23 ;)
You sound like a great neighbor Debby! We tend to become hermits almost; we rarely meet any of our neighbors; which is kind of the exact opposite of hubby's parents who knew all the neighbors on the street we are living on now :)

I used to be totally comfortable in the ocean, but 3 years ago I got stung by a jellyfish, and had a delayed toxic reaction that damaged my heart and put me in the hospital overnight. Now I'm kind of nervous about getting back in. But I'm going to give it a shot this summer.
I like your idea of summer, we have already enjoyed several watermelon...my favorite! I love Europe too...once it's in your blood you can't just go once. Have a wonderful Thursday!

I like being in water if it's warm, but have never been scuba diving. I do like snorkling, though! I'm not a particularly elegant swimmer but I can swim a mile in laps if I need to.
