Thank you Joyce for the questions.
1. Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state. Have you
ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a hibiscus to tuck behind
your ear?
No I haven't been :( I'm going to say an orchid since I see hibiscus all the time here in California.
2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage
made with pineapple?
My favorite is just eating it as is!
3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain.
Yes I do.
4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in.
I remember that my parents set up a pool for us on the patio off the driveway. It was one of those round pools with a liner and was about 3ft. high and maybe 6 ft across. My dad got a bit of a running start and jumped in only to have it come apart leaving him flat on the ground! It was a lovely home to grow up in. (This picture was taken on a trip to Chicago two years ago)
North Riverside, IL
5. Are you comfortable with silence?
Yes I enjoy silence.
6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move?
(all spiders are giant, right?)
Right, they are all giant. I go get a tissue and kill it, however if there was a really giant one I would run for help. Unfortunately the guys in the house are chicken when it comes to spiders.
7. My idea of fun does NOT include ______________.
Shooting at targets at the gun range. Everyone else will go but I stay home.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Yesterday I managed (pushed myself) to get out of the house to see The Odd Life of Timothy Green at the show for $5.00 Tuesday's. I really enjoyed it. The audience loved it too! Sometimes it's just fun to see a nice clean movie without violence. Then last night Mark and I went to see The Bourne Legacy which was excellent!

We have plans to see the Bourne movie this weekend. I have loved them all and loved the books too.
I like fresh pineapple too...its really good grilled with a little honey on it too.
I've never been to Hawaii but I want to go someday.....
I only like pineapple in salad.
We saw Bourne and loved it and I want to see The Odd Life!
Great answers as always my dear friend!
I love pineapple with jalapeno, and onions on a cheese pizza!
I can't wait to see The Odd Life also, but I will wait for redbox to bring it out as it's hard going anywhere as a family and I really want to see it with my hubby and children! We watched Hunger Games the other night and some of us liked it some didn't...I honestly didn't like it while Raymond,Julie and Joni said they did.Bless Samuel's heart he said,"Momma don't ever move there, and I told him it was just a movie but "IF" it ever happened I'd take his spot."(((hugs))) have a great day my friend!
So funny about the pool! And I love pineapple by itself!
I'm not much into shooting guns either. I keep saying I'm going to get over that, but so far I haven't done it.
I thought "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" looked like something I might enjoy, too.
I want to see The Bourne Legacy, but we'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD.
I love fresh pineapple (not that canned stuff) ... yummy!
The memory of your dad is hilarious! You should remind him of that.
I want to see the Timothy Green movie it looks sweet.
I remember the days of swimming in a pool on the driveway. (Parents didn't want their grass to die). I want to hear your explaination on soul mates.
Bourne looks good and I hope to see it soon. I do enjoy shotting gugs and we have gone to the range and shot at paper targets. I'm a good shot so anyone trying to break into the house better be careful!
The house you grew up in still looks very nice! And, hey - it's only August. It's not Autumn yet! (You must not like summertime...lol)
What a fun story about your dad! Those are the kinds of moments that made growing up great. :)
My hubby is dying to see The Bourne Legacy...glad to know you have it two thumbs up!
I think I might enjoy a mixture of the two flowers. I enjoy silence too. Until my mind starts going all wacky. :) You only use a tissue to kill a spider? I have to use the zapper or a shoe or a whole bunch of paper towels.
great answers Debby...hope your week is going better...
The house you grew up in is too cute! Funny memory about the pool. LOL!
The Bourne movies are great! I loved the Legacy one too.
I'm lucky that I have a 6'5" spider-squisher in the house most of the times I see one. It's less expensive than the amount of spray it takes me to kill one.
We had a pool something like that. But our dog always attacked it when the cover was on it!
Oh that house makes me feel all warm inside - CHICAGO! sandie
I haven't been to Hawaii or do I want to go really bad. I'm more wanting to see Alaska.
Never been to Hawaii here either.
Uh, yeah, shooting guns definitely on my list of things I DON'T like to do!
Glad to hear the shows are good. I've been wanting to see them.
I love reading these posts where you share about yourself. Good way to get to know you.
