Welcome back Joyce!
1. What rule of life should never be broken?
I believe the Ten Commandments should never be broken.
2. What's your favorite family recipe?
A favorite meal would be pork, dumplings and sauerkraut but I never make it. My moms lasagna was very good and I make that sometimes. I guess that one thing I make that my family loves is Bohemian Hoska which is a sweet bread that I always make at Christmas.
3. Is the media manipulative?
Yes I believe the media is. They can certainly put a spin on things that may not be true.
4. Hubs and I saw Skyfall last weekend...are you a fan of the Bond films? If so, who's your favorite Bond?
Yes I love the Bond films. Haven't had a chance to see the new one yet. I always loved Sean Connery but also enjoyed Pierce Brosnan.
5. What is one thing you hope people never say about you?
That I am raciest.
6. What's a nearby tourist attraction you'd like to see, but haven't gotten around to visiting?
I have never eaten dinner at Medieval Times, I hear they put on a fun show. Otherwise I have been to quite a few attractions near us. Would you consider The Holocaust Museum an attraction, I haven't been to ours in Los Angeles yet but would love to.
7. Where's your favorite tree?
I like Norfolk Pine Trees but also love the Redwoods. Not many trees I don't like.8. Insert your own random thought here.
I haven't been board at all in Las Vegas but Spiderman seems to be!
I will be home on Thursday and hope to visit you on Friday.

I visited the Holocaust Museum in D.C. several years ago. It was a very humbling experience.
I didn't know LA was getting a holocaust museum. I've been to the one in DC though. And it was definitely very humbling.
We have a Medieval Times in our city and I have never been.
As always great answers! Have fun and safe travels!
raciest as in 'sexy to extreme'? or racist as in color?
Your recipe answer literally has me drooling. Pork and dumplings and sauerkraut? That sounds so yummy.
I'm like you....trees [all of them...they're beautiful!!]
I went to Medieval Times once years ago.. and I was surprised how violent the performance was for "family entertainment". I also didn't like how the employees were going up and down the rows the whole time selling little swords and things. I live near Myrtle Beach and we hve a simplestyle venue called "Dixie Stampede" which is much more appealling to all ages and is less violent.
I visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC and it was really unbelievable. It's so hard to understand how or why people would treat other people that way.
Hope you're having fun in Vegas.
Have fun in Vegas Baby
Maybe Spiderman is just enjoying the beautiful day, glad he's not hearing a distress call at the moment?
Glad to hear that you are having fun! As for Spiderman, perhaps he's just resting up for his next adventure :)
Glad you are having fun. I like trees as well. I've been seeing some new ones on the week Hodgepodge from different places which is fun.
I do love the Redwoods. We visited them when we were in Oregon 4 years ago. I'd like to see the Sequoias some day, too.
Have a safe trip back home.
A very nice set of Hodgepodge answers. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Hoska was my recipe answer as well. Though grew up calling it Slovakian Hoska, for the recipe came out of my Grandmama's Slovakian Cookbook her mom brought over when they came to the states.
Lasagna is another family favorite of mine too. Enjoy the rest of your little vacation :)
I love that Spiderman picture : )
I've been to the Holocaust Museum in DC and it was definitely one of the most moving sites I've seen. I've also been to Dachau, the camp in Germany. Very hard to see and think about, yet I feel like we need to remember so as not to repeat mistakes of the past.
There's a Holocaust Museum in Atlanta that Abby went to with her class and it made such a lasting impression on her. I really want to see it for myself! Never eaten at Medieval Times here, either...sure looks like a good time, though!
Have fun in Vegas! Spider Man does look bored. :)
A few responses Debby ...
1 - Love seems like a good rule.
3 - Yes. People are biased.
4 - I am with you 100% on Bond.
8 - The new Spiderman flicks is bad.
Another vote for Pierce Bronson - YES!
Pierce Brosnan is very easy on the eyes! : )
great to hear you're still away and having fun....and like you I love Redwood trees. When we went to yosmite...saw them for the first time and fell in love with them.
I was trying to think which commandment fit the best. It never even occurred to me that all of them could be the answer. Great one Debby!
Great Wednesday Hodgepodge.
I with you on the trees- I love just about every one of them! They are just so pretty. I hope no one ever says I'm a racist either. I have zero tolerance for that kind of thing. Birdie's favorite Bond was Pierce Brosnan too. Mine? Sean Connery and a close second of Roger Moore.
Spider man looks tired! Glad you are having so much fun - guess you will be coming home tomorrow. I don't feel that the Ten Commandments should be broken either. And I know the media is manipulative. And lastly I have been to Medieval Times and it was good. sandie
Glad you are enjoying your time in Las Vegas, Debby!! Medevial Times is fun; I know I got into the whole thing of rooting for our knight to win, etc. The kids enjoyed it too when they were younger.
I agree with you about the media being biased!
I also agree that we should try to live by not breaking the Ten Commandments, hard to do sometimes though.
betty
My sister and her hubby are in Vegas too and are having a blast. Spiderman was contemplating his next heroic deed?
That pic of Spiderman made me laugh out loud! He sure does look like he's thinking about something serious...have a fun time on the rest of your trip! Love lasagna!
LOL OMGosh Spiderman love it!!!
