Joyce is still under the weather so send her a HUG!
1. In the USA this coming Sunday millions will be watching as the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49's in the Superbowl. What was the last event you attended that could be described as super?
I will be watching Sunday! Well we had a super time in Houston for my mother-in-laws birthday. I hope to put a post up one of these days.
2. Share something you're a fan of these days?
I can't seem to come up with an answer for this one however I heard they are getting closer to bringing back All My children on the interenet and I will be a huge fan of that!
3. How do you feel about wings? In case anyone is confused, I'm talking the edible appetizer kind. What's your preferred seasoning on a wing-hot, mild, teryiaki, sweet and sour, other? Do you make your own or is there a favorite place you like to go for wings?
I've never been a huge wing fan because I'm not crazy about sauces however I have been enjoying a boneless wing from Pizza Hut that is garlic and parmesan. They are yummy!

4. As long as we're talking sports today...have you followed the Lance Armstrong story? Did you watch his interview with Oprah and if so what was your reaction to his confession and subsequent remarks?
I didn't know about his story when it broke because I don't read the paper or watch the news! I did end up hearing about it and I couldn't believe it. I did watch the Oprah interview because I have several of her programs scheduled to tape in my DVR. Since I didn't know all the details I did like watching the interview. I'm not sure how I feel about his remarks.

5. What's a question you hate to be asked?
What's for dinner? and it's not coming from my husband. It's coming from our daughter and I think you can see smoke coming out of my nose like a mad bull. First of all Mark and I don't eat that way. He generally goes out for lunch and only wants a salad for dinner. If I cook it will be on the weekend. In case you didn't know our daughter and her husband moved in with us 3 years ago this coming March. Since he is currently going to college and if things go as planned he has three more years of school. They are adults and I am not responsible to make them dinner. Enough said!

6. The coaches in this Sunday's big game happen to be real life brothers. Jim Harbaugh coaches the 49er's and his older brother John Harbaugh coaches the Baltimore Ravens. Were you and your sibling(s) competitive? In what way? Are you still? If you're an only child how did you handle competition growing up?
That's cool, didn't know that. No we were not competitive at all.

7. What's your favorite game involving a ball and when did you last play?
Well if a bowling ball counts I played with one yesterday! I actually bowled pretty good too....
8. Insert your own random thought here.
So I get out of bowling yesterday and I see I had a missed call. So I listened to the message and didn't like what I was hearing. It was Chase calling about fraud on my credit card. I have had this credit card for as long as I can remember and it is paid in full every month. Remember when I mentioned that Mark had a card that gives money back and we got $1,600. that we used for Christmas presents? Well Mark said I should call and change mine since I use it regularly and may as well get money back.
So last Tuesday I called to find out if that was possible. They said yes I was due for an upgrade, blah, blah, blah. Asked if I wanted to keep the same number but the expiration date would be changed and the security numbers on the back. I thought okay, why not. Said I could use my current card until the new one comes in about 3 days but I never used it. Actually I am trying to spend less...LOL! So by Friday I hadn't seen the new card but then I forgot about it.
So apparently someone stole it some way, some how. They called me about the new Freedom Chase card and I've never had a Freedom card before but that was the new one coming. A whole bunch of charges were put on Monday but they were all denied. I told the woman that "it sounds like an inside job to me" and she said oh no that can't be. The only other option was that it was stolen on it's way to my house.
I also had an email from Amazon telling me that someone tried to open up a new account using my card on file which they denied. After all these years and it happens after I make the call! So I am expected to receive a new card tomorrow and I am going to sit in Mark's office with my computer with the window shade open since it's by the front door and watch for that UPS man. We do have LifeLock Identity Theft Protection so I would have been protected anyway but it just gets me so mad!

That is such a mess with your credit card...been there, done that! Hope things get worked out real soon...it can be so frustrating! I love to bowl, but haven't been in awhile. In fact, I think I'm way overdue for another round!
So glad that your card issue were caught! How terrible. A grocery store we go to got hacked and our card ID was taken (along with hundred of others) but it was reported and we got a new card. Still, it is frustrating.
It's crazy how theives can get acess to numbers so easily ... Thank goodness they were denied
I loved 'All My Children'. It began the year I was born. My mom watched it from beginning to end. My kids nap time revolved around it. LOL
It's just so easy to commit fraud now. At least the charges were denied!
What's for dinner? Ha...I might be tempted to answer, "I don't know....what are you making?" : )
What a mess with the credit card! Glad you were protected, but still ...
that would be frustrating with the credit card; and what a mess to have to sort out!!
betty
That is terrible that your credit card was stolen. I am always leery about credit card applications that come in the mail. The companies used to actually send unsolicited cards.
That's scary about the credit card! It doesn't pay to trust anybody these days.
In December, after I ordered a television on line, the credit card company called me before they would okay the transaction. I was glad they were keeping tabs.
Hope you get everything straightened out with the credit card!
Credit cards can be great and a pain too. I have had one stolen...not fun.
At least those companies warned you about the 'new accounts'. Hope the new one will come without a hitch!
What a pain in the butt about your credit card. Extra money for using the card would be a cool thing! I hope it safely gets to you!
I didn't know that about the coaches either!
I won't be watching the game Sunday. I like mild chicken wings. And Ditto on the dinner thing. I will cook and they won't eat. Or they don't like what I cooked. Or daughter will not eat then grandson will not eat it...lol
Oh Deb...I am totally convinced that we are in fact twins, born 30 years and 3 states apart...
You know, I love reading your Wednesday Hodge Podge because I get to know you a little bit better. So, I watched AMC for over 25 years! I used to schedule my classes around it because my college roomie got me hooked! Then the VCR was invented and we got one after our first wedding anniversary. I had to miss a year of it because of work (well, you know, sometimes sacrifice is necessary.lol) and I picked it right up again no problem and watched it until about 2003 when I quit cold turkey! Hope the credit card mess is behind you! It's infuriating. Ann
Love hearing all these random things about you!
Sandy
Sorry that you were violated. Hugs to you Debby.
Ugh, I've had that happen to my credit card too. At least they are watching that stuff pretty closely.
I'm not a huge wing fan either.
My wife Ann and I so resonate with #5!
I had fraudulent credit card charges a few years ago When we were in Chicago for the summer. Stuff happens at the worst times. Hope you get the card situation cleared up soon Debbie.
So sorry about the credit card fiasco...this world's gone crazy!
Sorry that happen to you :-( It would make me mad also.
How annoying!!! I had that stuff happening with Amazon too! I'm so glad that they contact you and don't allow the purchases!! <3
Oh my goodness that is so cool that the coaches are brothers.
