I never watch but I love your review...
I still want to go to the cinema, but what with the house and the car and a lot of furniture that needs to be gotten, I think I will enjoy my own private home theater. Where I watched 'an Affair to Remember' just the other day. Lovely as usual!
I was just telling my husband what fun your family has with movies and the oscars! I told him we have to start going to the movies!! Not his favorite thing. :)
It sounds like y'all had so much fun!
I fell asleep watching it so I was not impressed at all! Your review is very nice however.
Well you know I watch and I start early - my mom and I used to do that - can't talk Kelly into doing it with me though. I thought the dresses were very classy and regal. And some great winners.
What a nice review of Oscar Night. Sounds like you had a great time.
I never watch either, but love the best dressed/worst dressed reviews on the next day. :))
Great review, Debby...and congrats on your win! Sure looks like some tasty goodies there!
thanks for the review, Debby! I saw bits of pieces about it on the news and other shows so it was nice to read your re-cap about it :)
betty
The timing is crazy! 11:40 pm on the east coast and none of the big awards announced. I enjoy the clothes, but not how seriously some of these actors take themselves. We saw all but one of the best picture nominees and enjoyed them all this year. I loved Argo and was happy to see it win. I thought Michelle Obama presenting was the absolute most ridiculous part of the entire show.
We love going to the movies too. Enjoy your day!
I love that you make the Oscars such an event and just enjoy the show!
That is very interesting about him. I thought he did fair job. I think I like him more now that you put all the info about him! I went in thinking why is this comic that drives me kind of nuts hosting.
I have to go look at her dress I think I missed it.
I actually went to bed early but ABC was very cool and put it on their app so I watched from home.
Ok I have to say it really isn't there more important things for her to do then to announce the winner of the best movie? LOL I know critical I can't help it, just seems like they are on more TV and reality show. just saying ... lol
Congrats on the win sweets, I'm glad you tied with Tristen.
Awesome! I feel like Seth might have been the victim of some bad writing myself. I know he is incredibly talented, but unfortunately people will remember the down moments. I am thrilled with most of the results. Wish the show itself had been a little more "connected". Was puzzled by Renee Zelleweger, liked Anne's performance gown better, wish Russell Crowe didnt' have to sing again and I think he felt the same way - but it was actually my favorite performance of the show. 007 songs needed to be compiled together.... I could go on and on, but I like how you s0ummed it all up best with your post-it-notes! Working with one hand typing is driving me nuts and I will take you up on us applying for red carpet tix next year. I have to meet you sometime! Ann
Never thought of having our own ballots and a prize - cute idea I'll probably borrow. :)
I also enjoyed Seth's hosting - and his singing. Wish he had done even more.
We only disagree on one thing - I loved the jaws music to get people off the stage. Would only have been better if an actual shark had come out and grabbed a afew of them. :)
I like that you made a game out of watching the Oscars. That had to make it even more fun! :-)
Hugs to you Debby.
