Irish slang for "good morning."
Usually spoken as the speaker opens a bottle of Killian's.
Pronounced with a hugely Irish accent that could choke a donkey.

~Happy St. Patrick's Day~
So I am doing something today that I have never done before. Can you guess what it is? Well after last weeks Wednesday Hodgepodge question about Corned Beef & Cabbage I was intrigued, so I found a recipe for making it in the crock pot. No one in the house is excited about this except me so I may be the only one passing gas from the cabbage this week.............................
What's at the end of your rainbow?
As you know I was pretty upset with the announcement of Google taking away our reader in July. I do not like change and let me tell you that I was so stressed over this I gave myself a stiff neck that went all the way down my back along with being on the verge of tears. Unknown Mami was the first post I read that told me about this event and she posted some very helpful information. But I am not that good at some things and I just couldn't get it to work. I actually turned off my computer and left the house!
The next morning I saw a post from Mad Snapper called "Here I am come to save the day". She was my rainbows end. The place is called Feedly and it worked for me. Everything transferred with all of my files intact. I haven't spent a lot of time there yet and it is definitely different but also very doable. I also belong to Bloglovin' which I signed up well over a year ago. I still have to go in, make folders and sort through all my bloggers but at least I feel I have two places to work with after July 1st.
Now before I did any of the Feedly I went ahead and switched myself over to Google Chrome because no doubt that at some point we will all have to use chrome. My entire day is spent with Google. I've had gmail since it first started back in the early 2000's when it was by invitation only. The main reason I have a Droid 2 phone is because they are a Google product base. Chrome isn't bad just have to get use to a few differences. So everything transferred within seconds for me and I am a happy camper today. Can't answer about tomorrow........
P.S. A special thank you to Mad Snapper for answering all my (20+) emails!

Happy St. Paddy's day! I'm with your family blah on corn beef! I'm trying drunken Irish stew recipe today instead. Hope you have a fun day!
That almost looks like your little pooch - so cute. Thanks for your help. I love corned beef and cabbage. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too!

I have used Google Chrome for several years now, mainly because my computer didn't work anymore with Internet Explorer. Am used to it now, but it was a lot of cursing when I started.
Happy St. Paddy's day! Enjoy your dinner. Sounds good to me! :)

I LOVED Chrome before I got my mac! It was different at first but once I got used to it I liked it far better than both explorer and firefox.
I use Chrome for a few blogs that I can't leave comments on unless it is through Chrome. Its okay; I see no advantage with it except for that reason, but I think you are right, Debby, eventually we might all have to migrate to it. Glad you found a system that will work for you for your blog reading :)
Let us know how the corned beef and cabbage come out; I read on another person's blog too that they were making it in the crockpot; might be interesting to do next year here!

Happy St. Patrick's day!
I am just too dumb to know what any of the reader stuff is and I don't want to try learning something right now because I'm stressed enough. I just hope that the blogs that I have in my dashboard on blogger will stay there.
I'm really annoyed with Google about this. I think if they offer blogging they out to keep their reader. But thanks for the info - I already have Chrome and I will try Feedly.
Glad you figured it out and that you are having a happy day!
I don't like change either, so I hear ya!
Sandy
Happy St. Patrick's Day! So glad that you got it all figured out.
Happy St Paddies Day to you!
Glad you found something that you like and that everything transfered for you.
I don't like change either...drives me nuts...Sandra is so awesome...
I don't use my reader much, but I know that it's going to suck being gone :(. I signed up for feedly, It looks pretty darn simple.
I love Chrome, been using it for a few years now. I deleted off Explorer and down loaded Chrome & Mozilla. I switch between the two one for work and one for personal.
I'm am worried about my readers, I hope I don't loose a bunch :(
Well, most of what you've written I don't even understand but am going to go to all of your links and smarten myself up. I hope.
I did go to Chrome, last year, because Firefox and something else wasn't working for me. Now, I'm curious about the new Google laptop for $249...? It's a great price, gotta admit.
Thanks for all this wonderful information and I agree with you that we have to get used to change sooner or later. It always happens. Just when you get used to something, it's deleted or changed and you're forced into a new normal someplace else.
Thanks again for all the wonderful tips. I hope your St. Patrick's dinner turned out as great as you hoped!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I suppose I need to look into feedly. I love corned beef and cabbage. We had it yesterday.
I didn't realize they were getting rid of Google reader, but I'm glad you found other options!
I've considered Chrome. I already noticed that some things aren't working with Explorer anymore :-/
Well, it is so aggravating that Google can't leave things alone. I think you will also need to switch to Goggle+.
Frustration over these issues can get to us and obviously it did to you. :o) I'm sure we'll all adjust (what choice do we have) and it will be okay.
Happy week!
I began using Bloglovin' too. It's taking time to set up folders and categories. I think it work fine once it's organized.

I switched to google chrome about 2 months ago and I'm loving it! We are dog sitting our old Westie(that my mom has now) this week and your pic on the top of this page cracked me up when I opened it!
Cute pooch! I switched over to Bloglovin. It seems to work pretty well.
Hope you enjoyed your Corned Beef and Cabbage. I made a loaf of Irish Soda Bread and it is delicious! I made the change to Google Chrome quite q while ago...so far so good.
I am making soda bread this weekend. I think I am making bread all weekend. Frank will be at school and I will be home working on taxes.
