These Moss Roses are for Sandra at "From the desk of Mad Snapper." She loves Moss Roses. I grew up with Moss Roses, my father planted them every year. We had a large section of them in the backyard that died when we had a bad frost a few years ago. Well they are back!

Pretty! I can't believe June is over either!
very pretty roses. :)
Moss roses (aka portulaca ... at least that's what my mom called them) are an annual here. My mom planted them a lot ... I've thought planting some, but as I prefer a low-maintenance landscaping/garden, I only plant perennials.
I too can hardly believe that tomorrow will be July!
Sweet nest...hope the babies make it!
I love moss rose but haven't grown it for years - kinda forgot about it. I'll check out the garden department next time I go by - everything is marked down now - maybe be able to get a bargain on some.
Thanks for jogging my memory.
Those are lovely - I've never heard of moss roses.
Pretty moss flowers. I use to have some of it...long time ago.
So that's what they are! We have some at this house! The bird's nest is fantastic, such fun to watch. Glad you are back and home and hope all is well. Ann
