You don't hear that very often do you? It doesn't quite roll off
the tongue like Happy Easter, Happy Thanksgiving or
Merry Christmas!!
The seasons will change this Sunday (Sept. 22), with the Northern Hemisphere moving into autumn and the South emerging from winter into spring.
The celestial event that marks this transition is called an "equinox," and it happens twice every year, around March 21 and Sept. 21. Just what is an equinox, and why does it occur?
(Read more about it here at Huff Post Science)
Genesis 8:22 (NIV)
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

and that equinox happens here in Florida to but we can't tell it yet. today the 22 my mother would have been 88 years old and 4 weeks from now daddy would have been 100.. thinking of all this has made me feel a tad old today
happy autumn, debby.
Happy Fall. I love this time of year.
I love that scripture Debby; it is good that the earth still endures and we do have the seasons, not only in the weather, but seasons of our lives as well. I hope it is a great fall for you and your family!

Happy fall!
Happy, Happy Fall, Debby! It was so cool yesterday morning when we headed to church...60 degrees! Love it!
Love that photo :).
Time sure is flying by.
Love that passage!
I don't know about you, but I'm glad to see autumn arrive :)
Much easier to just say Happy Fall!
I always celebrate the autumnal equinox (and the other season markers). This year, the exact autumnal equinox was at 4:44pm, which I thought was cool.
Love that picture and all the words that you've written. I'm ready for some autumnal weather now! Ann
...and once again you taught me something! Happy Fall!
