Joining in Joyce's Wednesday Hodgepodge.
It's a lot of fun, join in today!
1. Describe a typical Sunday from your childhood.
Church and an early afternoon dinner with family either at our house or my grandparents house.
2. How comfortable are you with uncertainty? Explain.
Who likes uncertainty? I'm a bit of a control freak and I am not spontaneous....enough said!

3. What have you accomplished recently that might be described as crafty, as in 'arts and crafts' crafty? If crafty doesn't work for you, how about handy? Or both?
Nothing although I have pinned at least 1,000 crafty things on Pinterest that I would like to do!
4. Have you ever worked in a 'food place'? What did you take away from the experience?
No I never worked in a food place.
5. Cold turkey, talk turkey, what a turkey...in recent days, which turkey phrase or idiom best applies to you and why? I'm going to say Talk Turkey, something just came up that needs a solution.
6. If you could have any one guest join your Thanksgiving dinner table, who would it be
I'm going to say my dad. Being that he is 90, lives in Florida and doesn't travel anymore, it would be awesome to have him at our table this year.
7. What is one thing you must accomplish today?
Reading Wednesday Hodgepodge posts. This is the honest truth, Wednesday is my long day for reading posts and I don't do much else on Wednesday's.
Tomorrow I am starting my Christmas trees because I will be out of town for a few days next week. Then I will be gone the entire week after Thanksgiving and that is when I normally work on my trees!!

So if you don't see me for a few days you know where I am.....

I LOVE that sunset! God is so good to give us such beautiful sights!
I worked in the cafeteria at college and that was enough of working at a food place for me! :-)
Best of luck on your Christmas decorations this year!! I don't even have a fraction of what you do and I'm dreading putting it all up.
the sky is great! laughed at your comment to uncertainty - so true!
What a stunning sky!! We are going to be out of town the week after thanksgiving as well and I'm debating what to do about our tree. Normally I'm a very strict "no Christmas before Thanksgiving" person but this year may be an exception...
Ha! I'm like you on the crafty things on Pinterest. I pin them but I don't do them. LOL Beautiful skies!
Always enjoy reading here on Wednesday. I am a recovering control freak Debby.
Having site problems but kansascitybob.com seems to be working.
I wish your dad could be at your Thanksgiving table, too :)
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow, as you begin your Christmas decorating :) Have fun!
Beautiful sky!
I didn't know I was handy until I bought an old house post-divorce and started remodeling. Turns out, I am!
That is a beautiful sunset, Debby! I think that would be neat if your dad could join you guys for Thanksgiving dinner. I wish there was a way to make travel easier for parents when they age; I know it can be a ordeal and worse the older we get.
Hard to think about decorating a Christmas tree with the wonderful warm weather we have been having :)
betty
i waited tables for about 10 years. My take away is a really good understanding of people. I can read people very easily now
I love that fiery sky! I'm thinking about getting out my snow village next week. It takes me hours to set up and I like to do that separately from tree decorating. Otherwise it all becomes a chore as opposed to fun. Enjoy the decorating!
Have fun setting up your trees!
I am itching to set up our tree!! We have family coming for Thanksgiving...they are bringing 8 and that will make 13 of us here. There won't be room for my tree until everyone heads home. I love this time of year! Your skies were amazing! Beautiful photo!
Aww, I wish your dad could be with you at Thanksgiving too.
I know you will enjoy Thanksgiving with you father.
I never worked in a food place either.
And i don't really like uncertain either.
Have a good one.
Love,
sandie
