So Christmas happened and it was absolutely wonderful! Adam and Tristen came over around 2 pm, of course Amber, Mark and I were here waiting anxiously for the day to start. But let me share a few things before that....I finished a few more of the decorations, one of them was finishing my miniature tree which I put in the center of the dining room table this year.
I got all the presents wrapped on Sunday and while we waited for them to arrive Skye would not leave the tree. I had put out her presents while she was outside hoping that she wouldn't notice but she did. She waited in front of the tree for a few hours....God bless her!
I had spent the two days prior to Christmas in the kitchen preparing lots of goodies for our day! On Christmas Eve I went to church and then we watched White Christmas followed by It's a Wonderful Life.
On Christmas morning I put the small gingerbread houses together so they would be ready to be decorated after dinner. Adam, Amber and Tristen worked on them. There is still one for me to do but I was way too tired to join them on Christmas night.
There is Skye again waiting for them to arrive. I had taken her PJ's off, they ended up being a little too big anyway. She loved opening her gifts and as always she destroys them! She had a great day and has been stealing Charlies toys ever since. We opened gifts for a few hours and then we had dinner, dessert and fun hanging together.
These are a few of my gifts. Crown S & P shakers from Pottery Barn. A new 15" Toshiba laptop computer. It is just like the one I have now only it has more space. I am going to transfer everything over and give my current one to Amber. Also has the DVD slot which I still like to use.
Kinda cute story....see the mugs? Well the one in the center Mark bought for me at the Polish Pottery store in Seattle. There were 2 but he dropped it at the airport. The replacement arrived yesterday. The two Polish Pottery mugs you see in the front are two that I bought for him. Funny that we both bought Polish Pottery mugs for each other :)
My new, very large, Wizard of Oz Jim Shore piece, a cute glass station wagon ornament and the DVD of Rick Steves European Christmas Special and cookbook that were on PBS in December. Also got some PJ's, Willow Tree figurine, II Volo Christmas CD and the soundtrack to Les Miserables!
Here you will see what I bought at Target on Thursday. Didn't overdo it but like to get boxes and ribbons for next year at 50% off! Also got some bake ware for 50% off too. I bought a few things online in the morning before I ran out. A Christmas pillow from Pottery Barn which I had wanted and was given a gift card to purchase it and also a few things from Paper Source because they have such unique wrapping papers.
Hope your Christmas was wonderful.....now I rest!

Hi Debbie, It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas. It is hard to believe we are closing up 2013; where did the year go?! Loved seeing all the photos.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Noreen
Church, followed by two of the greatest movies ever - sounds like the perfect Christmas Eve to me! Your home/trees are beautiful. And Skye waiting so patiently is hilarious.
I picked up some wrapping paper and tags on an after Christmas sale, also. I hate paying full-price for wrapping and bows. Our kids are coming this weekend for a late Christmas, so I'm headed out after work to get stocking stuffers on clearance also :)
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and blessings for the New Year.
Oh my word...next year I am bringing my family to your house for Christmas - HA!
Seriously....I have 5 kids at home and we don't have 1/2 of the number of presents under our tree - WOW!!! Looks like a a lot of fun.
Hugs,
Trisha
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful Christmas! Skye is just adorable, as usual. Have a happy New Year!
WOW! That's a lot of stuff!!! I love the mug story and the gingerbread houses are a great idea!! Our pups are the same way. We had to take Pele' upstairs because he wouldn't stop barking after Santa came!! :-P
Where did you go to church Debby? Sounds like you all had a great day! Too cute with Skye watching the TV and then getting into the spirit of things unwrapping her gifts!

A lot of love went into a lot of work which ended in fun for all it looks like! Love all your pictures and especially the one of Skye patiently waiting!
Looks like a wonderful Christmas at your house. Glad you got your DVD slot back on the new computer. I really like the gingerbread houses and decorating ideas! I may need to pin that one, when I figure out how on this Windows 8 computer, that I hate!!!
I'm thrilled you had such a nice Christmas!
It all sounds and looks wonderful!
I should have done some after-Christmas shopping but I was sick. Oh well!
Elayna got several Wizard of Oz Christmas gifts from my mom, I posted pics on my FB.
Our day was pretty good but my buffalo sausage, queso dip and chips are no match for your Christmas goodies!
No wonder you are so tired! So much pretty packed into the day :) So happy to hear you had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was full of love and joy too and now I am exhausted! :)
Happy Holidays
Oh my goodness! I can't get over how gorgeous the trees are!
The presents are beautiful. I would have hated to see that all opened and over with. They are so beautiful to look at.
The goodies look delicious. It was a lot of work for you.
You are truly amazing.
Sounds like a wonderful celebration Debby! Happy New Year!
What a wonderful day my dear!
I just love the mini houses, I so need to do that instead of doing the bigger ones.
Great deals too!
I enjoyed reading the recap of your Christmas! Such beautiful pictures, too :) How funny that you and Mark bought each other the same type of gift! (Great minds think alike?)
Looks like you're already gearing up for next year!
Sounds like a very full Christmas. I was glad to have my kiddos here with me for the week.
