Volume 161
Thank you Joyce....
1. Are we always responsible for our actions? Are there any exceptions?
I want to say yes we are responsible for our actions but I am sure that if someone is hurting your loved one you may not be able to control yourself.
2. Has anyone from your home town become famous?
Not that I know of.
3. January was National Slow Cooker month. Do you own a slow cooker/crock pot? Did you use it last month? What's a favorite dish you make using a slow cooker or crock pot?
Yes I do own one and I used it last month. I also used it on Super Bowl Sunday to make Black Bean Chili which is one of our favorites.
4. How do you feel about private companies collecting data about you?
Of course I don't want them to collect data on me but I don't think it matters how I feel, we are well beyond that point today.
5. The Games of the 2014 Winter Olympics kick off with their opening ceremony this coming Friday....will you be watching? Which Winter Olympic event would you most like to see in person? Have you ever been to Russia? Any desire to go, Olympics or otherwise?
Yes I will be watching....can't wait! I'm not sure I can pick just one, I like the speed skating, bobsledding, snowboarding, etc. but maybe I will say figure skating because we would be indoors. No I haven't been to Russia but would like to visit there someday.
6. Share a good or bad sports related memory from your childhood or teen years.
I was always pretty good at sports. One year in High School when we were doing gymnastics, which I was good at, on the uneven parallel bars I missed the bar and fell flat on my back. I was okay but I did hurt for a long time. They didn't have the padding like they have today. I was very sad about it because I really liked gymnastics but it scared me away.
7. What's a must have song for you on a work out play list? If you don't work out, run, swim, bike, walk, or anything else that could be construed as 'exercise', then what's a song that movtivates you to at least get up off the couch?
Have to say one of my favorites is Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" but I also love Bruno Mars' "Just the Way you Are."
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm ready.....
Go Team USA!

Yep...I will be watching, too! Love the Olympics!!
A lot of us don't like having data collected about us but don't know what to do about it. It's very sad I think.
neat that you were good at sports (i never was).
I thought Bruno Mars was great during the Superbowl halftime! Just the Way You Are is one of my favorite songs. Go Team USA!!
Oh you know me and my love for my crockpot (as long as I have crockpot liners .. lol)
Ouch with your injury on the parallel bars, Debby. I used to like to do them and the horse in gymnastics during high school. (always fell off the balance beam, LOL)
Cool that the Olympics are starting this week! I knew they were coming, just didn't know when. I love to watch bob sledding too, along with the figure skating, ice dancing, so many more fun sports!
We probably use our crockpot about 1-2 a week; wonderful convenience I do believe!
betty
Can't wait for the Olympics either! Enjoy your week!
I'll be cheering on the good ole USA too! Praying for their safety!!!
you are right, they are collecting the data and there is nothing we can do about it... i would like to see people stand up and say i did this, i was responsible and to stop trying to blame everything on someone else. today THEY on the news said, they have arrested the drug dealers that sold the heroin to Hoffman, the heroin that killed him. He is the one that killed himself... when he shot the first one in his vein years before.
Why didn't I think of "Moves Like Jagger"? That is a great song to get up and moving to! So ready to cheer, "USA, USA, USA!!!"
I was never good at sports....we like to watch the Olympics...we don't see all of them...but catch some...I love crock pot cooking...slow and easy
Hi Debby, I always like reading the answers to these questions. I am praying that our athletes and reporters will be safe as well as visitors. I was privileged to go to the Summer Olympics in the 80's-such fun but I realized I am a bit claustrophobic, when there are thousands of people around. Stay warm this week and enjoy the days leading to Friday.
Hugs, Noreen
Hi Debby! I love my slow cooker too. I use it mostly to simmer my spaghetti sauce. It can bubble all day!
I saw Bruno Mars at half time of the Super Bowl. What a cute guy, and he seems so talented and joyful. I bet you loved that!
I always watch the Olympics. I like ski jumping, but probably I like ice skating the best.
I had to type this twice, so if you got two of these, just toss one out. Sorry!

Ouch my back hurts from your fall...I'm not athletic so no memories of mishaps! Love both those workout songs too! Have a great Wednesday!
Yay Team USA. I'm always amazed at everything the athletes can do.
I love my slow cooker. I use it weekly.
I loved gymnastics when we had that in PE. It was the only thing I ever liked in PE.
I use my slow cooker constantly. It's going today.
I'll be watching too and I'm so excited. I feel like I'll be glued to the tv for two weeks!
Ouch! Falling on your back is no fun! :( I've done that with skating. Although I broke my wrist the last time I skated & didn't go back again.

I have always enjoyed watching figure skating, too.
I thought of Moves Like Jagger too but didn't write it down ;) That would have scared me away from gymnastics too. When I watch I am usually holding my breathe and oohing and aahing!
Let's see - I love the winter Olympics. I hate people taking info on us. I bet you did have some famous people from there. And I have a crock pot too!
Love, sandie
My heart skipped a beat hearing your story about falling from the parallel bars :( The balance beam makes my heart skip two beats!!!
I think of you every time I use my crock pot to make your Potato Soup recipe. It's always delicious, and so easy!
Wow these are some great questions. I don't like my private data being collected.
I've never really been into the olympics but this year I'm watching some events with my daughter for homeschooling purposes. Figure skating, by far, is my favourite event!
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo
Love black beans anyway you can fix them...I too am so ready for the Olympics too. I cannot wait.
I can't wait to watch the Olympics with my daughters!

Olymics....cheering them on and praying for safety. Happy Weekend Debbie.
My father made me quit little league after my first game when I got hurt during my first at bat….
Hello dear friend ♥
I took gymnastics when I was 11, I fell off the high beam and also fell on my back and knocked the wind out of me. Scared me and I ended up quitting soon after.
No TV, so no Olympics for me. I'd say I miss it, but I didn't watch much of it when I did have television.
