Wednesday Hodgepodge
1.What makes love last?
Should be interesting to see the answers to this one!
2. The Beatles made their US debut fifty years ago this week. Are you a fan? If so, what's your favorite Beatles tune?
Sure I am a fan of The Beatles and I will say "She Loves Me" but truthfully I love so many that it is hard to pick one.
3. Valentine's Day-your thoughts? Do you celebrate in any way? Do anything special for the people you love? Expect anything special from the people who love you?
I always expect things from the people I love :) We will often do dinner out and gifts. I will usually get flowers. I also send out cards to my nephews and great-nieces and nephew with $5.00 in them. I will usually get candy for the kids of the women I bowl with. Now I know that the day is a made up day and a lot of people don't like it however when it is the only day during the year when your husband does something sweet you kinda look forward to it!
4. Steak or burger...you have to choose. Now that that's settled, how do you like it?

6. Honest Abe's image is featured on the US penny (1 cent coin) so I'm wondering...what do you do with your pennies (or your country's equivalent)? It's been suggested the US stop making the penny, and two bills have been introduced proposing just that, but neither were approved. What say you?
I really don't care either way. I do however like when I find a penny on the sidewalk and I say to myself "In God We Trust!"
Haven't got a clue!

If you like the Academy Awards you should set your DVD player to tape the BAFTA awards (British Academy of Films and Television Arts) on the BBC on Sunday evening. They are very similar to our award shows and our actors are there too. Their nominations are very similar to our too! I watched them last year and thought they were fun.

Power corrupts, and it is rare to find a man or woman that can handle power... no valentines for me, give or given... love well done burger and that is my most favorite food of all...with you on the not a clue on pop culture because i don't' know what pop culture is or means.

Okay, that's it! I am phoning about a satellite dish tomorrow! I am already getting very annoyed with all the commercial breaks we had during the opening ceremony of the Olympics and now not being able to see the BAFTA's? No way.
I don't think I ever got a lovey Valentine's card. I had a few from an American friend over a few years, but that's it. I doubt I will get any this year.

Valentine’s Day is an awesome made-up day. I’ve loved it since I was a kid trading valentines with classmates.
If we don’t figure out how Miley Cyrus happened now, future generations will think we liked it. We need to study so we can make sure the notes go forward too! lol
They probably won't ever run out of pennies they're everywhere! My dad often finds them in the sidewalk while walking. Hope you have a great week! We're supposed to have more rain I think this weekend or next week.
I remember the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show - do you? I loved the Beatles and I saw them in person at the Atlanta Stadium in 1963 I believe.
Hi Debby! I always think I am so lucky to find a penny on the ground. I'm never too proud to pick it up either. My husband says "Find a penny, pick it up...all day long you'll have good luck!"

I always enjoy the hodge podge days. I meant to mention a special that was on Turner Classic Movies, if you get that channel. "And the Oscar Goes to..." Really fun look at the Academy Awards throughout the years.
Hmmm, I'm liking the Lincoln quote about the test of a man's character comes when he is given power - have to agree. What he does with the power will say a lot about his character. Ahem.... I can think of a few abuses!! LOL
