Thank you Joyce :)
1. What's the biggest change since your childhood in the way people think or act?
2. The Olympic Biathlon involves cross country skiing broken up with either two or four rounds of target shooting. Which part of that would stress you out more? Or would you love them both equally?
I imagine the target shooting would stress me out more but it would be a nice break giving me time to catch my breath.
3. February is National Canned Food Month...what is your most often purchased canned food item? What was in the last can you opened?
4. What river (anywhere in the world) would you most like to cruise?
On a Seine River Cruise you'll have the chance to explore the beauty of Versailles, see picturesque Honfleur and discover the Alabaster coast. You can visit the home of Claude Monet in Giverny, with its wonderful gardens, stroll the streets of Rouen, the city of Joan of Arc, with it's half timbered houses and immerse yourself in the grandeur of Paris.
This picture hangs above our bed. It is the river at night in B&W with the Eiffel Tower in gold. It is from IKEA and it was an anniversary gift from Mark a year after our boat ride on the Seine! (Of course I picked it out and suggested it to him. Sometimes they just need help.)
5. It's the middle of the night and you can't sleep...what do you do? Count sheep? Toss and turn? Watch television? Or do you get up and do something productive?
6. How important is keeping your cool?
I think it is pretty important depending on the situation but I'm not very good at it!
7. I've got white stuff on the brain so why not run with it? White lie, wave the white flag, white knuckle it, white wash a situation, or white as a sheet...which phrase could most recently apply to your own life in some way?
I'm not sure any of them apply right now but I will say Wave the White Flag.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
1. Guess what you haven't heard me complain about lately???? I bet you know!!! My computer...I'm in love with it and Windows 8.1 doesn't control me anymore but I'm not holding my breathe.....
2. You know I love my bowling league, it's my favorite day that I look forward too each week. Well Monday night at 6:30 PM I started throwing up every half hour for about six hours and had a very restless night of sleep. Felt better in the morning but very sore and exhausted so I had to stay home. Even Tylenol with Codeine wasn't taking my aches away but I did get some sleep.
3. Mark returned of Europe last Saturday night and was off to Brazil on Monday. I miss him. When he got home on Saturday evening he was just getting over a bout of food poisoning. I made him a home made batch of Homemade Citrus Electrolyte Drink which I just found on Pinterest last week. I wish he was home so he could have made me a batch because I certainly wasn't up for making it :(

Good morning! I agree with you on number 1. It is soo true. A generation of "me, me!" Sorry you were sick, that's always the pits. Glad your feeling better! Enjoy your day!
I just left a comment and it didn't post (from my phone)... Wondering if its done this before?!? In any event, I'm glad you're feeling better and will look at that pin!
So sorry you have been sick. I'll check out the link you provided for the drink. I know you are missing Mark. Take care.
beautiful river of your dreams.. i would love to see it to... hope you are better today and i am sooo glad to hear you say you love W8... now i can stop fretting if i have to buy a new compuer...
oh, food poisoning - dreadful!
glad your computer woes may be over!
So sorry to hear that both you and Mark have been sick lately...that's never fun. I know you miss him...I always miss Chris when he travels each week. Yay for being able to kiss your computer troubles so long!
I'm going to look at that drink recipe, could be good to have on hand (the ingredients) in case we might need it. Sorry you were sick, Debby; did wonder if there was anyone to take care of you while you were under the weather. I love the picture from Paris; so pretty! Glad you are enjoying your new computer!
betty
I had that same throwing up last Monday with awful headache and body aches yuck! Your right that people seems so selfish:( hope bowling is awesome next week.
Good morning to you. Sorry to hear you are sick. Loved reading your answers. I love finding out about my blogging friends. Don't you?
Hope you're feeling better now. I love the picture. So pretty.
The scariest part of the biathlon? The shooting. Even though your heart rate goes down some, it is not enough yet and you have to stay completely still in order to hit all five targets. When prone (ie lying down) the target at over 50 yards away is the size of the inside of a roll of toilet paper. When standing, it's the outside! Miss one and you get penalized immediately and have to go a lap of about 180 yards or get one minute added to your time.
For the viewers, this part is the most exciting, because races have been won or lost just by the shooting! (Can you guess I am a massive fan?)
I hope you will feel better soon. Whenever I feel sick, I go with apple juice. Just plain old apple juice. It's not too acidic and it always seems to calm my stomach.
I hope you are feeling better!
I love the way you go to dreamland.
I agree with #1.
This is a tough subject. In a way I think the world has gotten too tolerant. This generation seems lost. Remember when we were younger how we spoke in wonderment of living in the USA and we loved our flag - we worked hard in school - we fought for our beliefs. Now what is going on I don't know.
Love, sandie
So glad your computer is agreeing with you now.
Sorry you were sick.
I buy black beans a lot too.
I'm sorry you've been sick. I'm also wondering if our husbands have ever crossed paths in an airport somewhere in the world : )
I've been to Honfleur. It is one of my most favorite towns in Europe, a charming seaside spot.
Would you believe I love canned salmon? (Not as much as fresh salmon, but hey!)
Cross Country Skiing would definitely stress me out more, because I have no athletic ability! I would pretty much die on a pair of skis, haha!
A little help and suggestion is always good :).
I usually buy a lot of chicken broth, black beans was up there until my crockpot and now I have a freezer full of them.
Hi there, I love reading the answers to these questions.
You mentioned pickleball-I am thankful that there are a group of beginners who play, because it can be very intense and competitive like tennis or racquetball. I'm just glad I can play and get some winter exercise.
Have a great day!

Testing....
So sorry you have been sick...and that is the worse kind of sick! Hoping you are feeling much better! Thank you for your kind words about our house addition!
Yikes I'm so sorry you and your hubby have been sick! Never fun and certainly when no one is home to take care of you! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
We all seem to have similar ideas for #1! Its crazy how people have changed since when i was growing up. I wouldn't dare talk back to my parents or call them by their first name.
I'm sorry that you've been sick. Throwing up is NO FUN at all. I hope all is well now :)
I'm glad you've gotten the hang of Windows 8.1. I'm still bumbling my way around Windows 8!
That's a cool photo of the Seine. I've been to France, but not Paris.
You purchase a lot of Black Beans - I purchase a lot of Chili Beans. Very close.
I am with you...let's cruise the Siene together!
