1. The expression 'mad as a March hare' originated with a fictional character who is distracted and frantic. When were you last 'mad as a March hare' and what was it that made you that way?
Honestly I seem to be 'mad as a March hare' too often so I can't pin point anything specific!
2. Mardi Gras this year falls on Tuesday, March 4th. Have you ever been to Mardi Gras, and if so what did you think? If not, do you have any interest in going? Purple, green, and gold are the colors of Mardi Gras. Which one is most prevalent in your wardrobe? How about in your home?
No I haven't and I don't have any desire to go. I guess I will say green but it would not be a Mardi Gras green, I like a celery green......
3. Are you old fashioned?
I don't think I am old fashioned at all. However saying that I may be a little old fashioned when it comes to exposing so much sexually in the movies. Does it really make people more likely to go see a movie?
4. Do you carefully plan your vacations, or do you prefer the days to be more spontaneous?
I like a vacation to be planned. Actually I have a post to write about that very thing. I do enjoy being spontaneous on the weekend but that doesn't happen very often :(
I can't think of a sauce other than spaghetti sauce. I like a strawberry sauce on pound cake, does that count?
6. What's something that easily brings a tear to your eye?
So many things these days....I will say a video of a soldier being reunited with their families. So many don't get to have that opportunity.
7. If you could own any sports team, which one would it be and why?
8. Insert your own random thought here.

i like your choices of sauces. much better than bbq sauce or even chocolate sauce. :)
i am with you on the sauce and also with Tex adding chocolate sauce.
i always though mad as a march hair meant mentally ill, as is Mental Mad not angry mad... angry mad is Mad as a wet hen...
I agree, in movies, they need to leave a few things to the imagination :)
I didn't think of spaghetti sauce! Good answer.
Videos of soldiers being reunited with their families always touch me deeply, too.
Have a great day, Debby!
Movies are just over-the-top these days, in terms of sexuality and language. I find it to be such a turn-off and so unnecessary. It happens all the time in even PG-13 movies.
I love older movies like Gene Kelly, Doris Day, etc. They are very good at portraying romance without all the sex scenes.
Left over wine! hahaha!!!
Strawberry sauce sounds delicious!
Liked your answer to #3
Most people went with savory sauces as their answer, but I started to put hot fudge as mine : ) Strawberry totally counts! Hope you have a great day!
Love your random thought :)
I too always cry over soldiers reunions with their families, especially the ones unplanned that the family doesn't know the soldier is home. Gets me every time.
betty
All I could think of was hot sauce!
Have a good day!
Ah… another wine girl! I love your cartoon at the end of the blog today.
Yum, strawberry sauce. Just yesterday I was saying how I was craving a Jim Dandy ice cream sundae. I think the strawberry sauce is one of the best parts. I didn't get one since I am not supposed to have dairy but I may see about getting some strawberry sauce ;)
Strawberry sauce is awesome, especially when it's fresh from the berry patch in June.
Yeah, I'm not sure about what leftover wine is either. LOL Strawberry sauce? Hmmm...might have to try that. Is it good on a spoon? :)
I've never been to Mardi Gras either. It's not really my scene. I wouldn't mind some of the food that comes with it though.
I have never been to Mardi Gras either and according my girls I am very Old Fashioned, LOL.
Thanks for visiting and commenting. :-)
Great answers! I agree with many! Love your random cartoon...too funny and so true! Happy Wednesday!
Yes, I cry watching those reunions, too!
I am with you on the movies. Hubby watched "We Are the Millers" last night. It was awful how much sexual content and nudity was in it. I was really disappointed Jennifer Aniston did it. :(
Strawberry sauce on pound cake best count ... and now I want some! ha!
As you can see I am late! Hey I have never been to Mardi Gras. And I like to plan vacations and I love to just go. And I am old fashioned!!
Hi Debby, It is always so fun to read the answers to these questions. I haven't ever been to a Mardi Gras and have no desire-heard too much about how perverse it is. I wear lots of purple and during March have lots of green around my house, because I'm Irish.
Hope you have a wonderful day friend!
Hugs, Noreen
Sure strawberry sauce counts...I said hot fudge. ha
I agree with you on the movies. I think the same story could be told without getting so graphic.
I love learning more about you!
I think any sauce is pretty good. And I suppose that's because so many sauces are made with sugar!! Yum, yum.
Those homecoming videos really get to me, too. Have you seen any of them when the returning soldiers are greeted by their dogs? Oh man, an entire box of Kleenex...just sayin'.
Leftover wine - LOL! Actually, though, I think I'm going to go make some cubes out of OJ. Just a little flavoring for my water!
xo
I have been to New Orleans only once but I left & drove out of town because it was so dirty! I couldn't believe it! So I don't think I could handle Mardi Gras! :) I sure like the New Orleans food though! :)
Oh & what doesn't make me cry! When I became a mom I started crying at everything! ;)
Hope you are doing well!!!
I always find hearing "been to Mardi Gras" odd - I guess most people mean the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans, although it's sure not the only place that celebrates. In the Episcopal church it is referred to as Shrove Tuesday, which I think feels closer to its original more solemn meaning.
"...what is leftover wine?..."
SO FUNNY! God speed on your vacation and safe travels.
It doesn't take much to bring a tear to my eye these days for sure and oh, I am mad as a March Hare just bat all the time!!!
Unfortunately I love all sauces.
I love the cartoon!
